Notwithstanding failure to thrive in the ninth inning when gifts given to the Sox were not capitalized upon, it was an absolutely beautiful day at the ballpark yesterday afternoon.
People from across the country buying up decaying and depleted properties in Peoria just to really own property, without even knowing what they’re buying, is just, kind of bizarre.

==very concerned for downstate and the Delta virus. the numbers of beds available are frightening.==
We should go back to mitigations. Including restrictions on indoor dining, and maybe ISBE reconsidering their stance against all-remote learning for this year (letting schools have it as an option until kids get vaccinated), etc.
I attended both political party days. Some highs and some lows that both parties have to own. Paul P was a joke yesterday. But then I recall Durbin making a pretty tasteless Lincoln joke when the library was dedicated. So it happens. I think the announced Republican candidates cannot win. No way. I happen to like Rodney a lot but he can’t win north of I-80. The only Republican who can win is Dillard. Experience at every level of government from staff to elected office to the RTA. Bipartisan and has a reach record of getting things done. Can get votes in Cairo or on Western Avenue. In DuPage or Decatur. Going to be interesting.
HOT. Wow it is warm and humid. had to run some errands so that was not fun. but did hear Aerosmith on the old S/XM and learned that the song title comes from the guys watching the movie Young Frankenstein, with the famous line Walk This Way.

When DeVore sues you, you know you are on solid ground.

The Blue Angels are very loud and distracting.

My teachers must not have been Republicans because I hate the Blue Angels. All they are is a recruitment tool. Plus they scare my cat.
