- New Day - Friday, Jun 24, 22 @ 10:56 am:
At the rate Sullivan is surging, he should be leading by October.
- Needs Deleted - Friday, Jun 24, 22 @ 10:58 am:
Congrats on a second term Governor Pritzker.

It’s Bailey’s to lose, with the weekend left to lose it.
Daylight is burnt

=At the rate Sullivan is surging, he should be leading by October.=
But I’ve seen a lot of yard signs /snark

cheered for Irvin out of the gates in January, but have increasingly become skeptical of his leadership and ethics.
with how his campaign was run, I am not disappointed or surprised.
I am only disappointed in our party’s slate of candidates for governor, but not surprised..
- Grandson of Man - Friday, Jun 24, 22 @ 11:16 am:
The weekend is an opportunity for Bailey to bump it up a notch at the Trump rally.
It’s very fitting, what’s happening with Irvin and Griffin. Irvin abandoned the racial justice advocates he used to strongly support, now Griffin is abandoning him. Karma working correctly.

With this experience maybe Sullivan can go back and run for Governor of California??
- GOP - Friday, Jun 24, 22 @ 11:25 am:
Who is running the pool for what date Jim Durkin announces his retirement? No way he is willing to put up with this new all Trump party. Good luck Jim.
It looks like Tuesday is going to be a huge mess. But at least we will know that the GOP only intends to be a small super minority regional party in Illinois.

After all the Bible thumping he’s been doing here on video, I think that ship has sailed. Might want to aim for an entry level post in a territory more friendly to his views, such as state rep.
- The Velvet Frog - Friday, Jun 24, 22 @ 11:37 am:
Sure looks like Griffin giving up on Irvin.
- Candy Dogood - Friday, Jun 24, 22 @ 11:39 am:
I have differing political views than all of the candidates, but on the bright side of things it at least demonstrates that throwing a lot of money and misleading information at voters is not as successful as Richard Irvin’s patrons would have expected.

Does anyone have some good LL Darren jokes?
And if you don’t know, LL Cool J is short for Ladies Love Cool James, now you know.

What can I say? Maybe they are of a certain age and dig the Gym Teacher from a 50’s Sitcom look?
- Huh? - Friday, Jun 24, 22 @ 12:01 pm:
Here they come down the home stretch, at the 1/8th pole with 3 days left, beetle extends his lead by 3 lengths, bursting out of nowhere, sullivan is leading irvin by half a length, irvin is all over the track and is losing ground fast. The rest of the field trots along with no hope of being in the money. It looks like beetle will be the republican’t candidate for governor.
- Just Sayin - Friday, Jun 24, 22 @ 12:12 pm:
Any polls yet on the SOS races (both sides)? Hoping for a David Moore miracle on Tuesday.
- Highland IL - Friday, Jun 24, 22 @ 12:13 pm:
Paul Schimpf was running for Governor? /s
- Fayette County - Friday, Jun 24, 22 @ 12:24 pm:
Just Sayin I am hoping for the same.
- JS Mill - Friday, Jun 24, 22 @ 12:29 pm:
How much has Undecided spent on their campaign? I never see ads or yard signs but they are still running a strong second. /s
=-Does anyone have some good LL Darren jokes?-=
Given how unkind the right have been with the JB fat jokes, I wonder how strong their fee fees will be now that we can start with the Bailey fat jokes? He really knows how to dress to accentuate his girth.
LL Bailey, lol. He is about as smooth as a glass covered fire pole.
- Ron Burgundy - Friday, Jun 24, 22 @ 1:44 pm:
-Unfortunately, billionaire JB Pritzker is an abortion extremist out of touch with the overwhelming majority of Illinoisans.-
Bailey sounding like a general election candidate and saying he just wants incremental changes. Make no mistake, he wants to take it all away if given the chance.
- Demoralized - Friday, Jun 24, 22 @ 2:29 pm:
==billionaire JB Pritzker is an abortion extremist out of touch with the overwhelming majority of Illinoisans==
Again, is he? Because he got elected pretty easily by those same Illinoisans by a pretty wide margin and he didn’t hide where he stood on the topic.
- Back to the Future - Friday, Jun 24, 22 @ 2:53 pm:
Listened to the Republican Candidates for Governor Debate last night. Irvin did not show up.
Lot’s of soft ball questions. A lady panelist asked Paul Schimpf who he would vote for if he had to pick from the other 3 candidates on the panel. He said he would not dignify that question with an answer. That was an appropriate answer. Schimpf came across as a very descent fellow who has the voting record to back up his claim on being conservative.
Sullivan hit the God/Christian button a lot and the crowd clearly appeared to be in his corner. Not sure about the Sullivan Surge talk, but he sure was aggressive during the event.
Bailey did not do well. Hard for me to watch him or his commercials. The more I see him the less I like him.
