Old blog favorite Ken Griffin managed to get some screentime during yesterday’s GIants-Cowboys game. He was seated in a luxury box next to George W. Bush.
Little “civil unrest” (as the security alert at work called it) to remind me how much I love having to commute to the office.
Broad agreement in the office that the protestors are no big deal but GOSH that is a lot of cops and we think they won’t be picky when they start arresting people so I guess we all get to sit here in the big building indefinitely. The big building that none of us need to be in to do our work, but corporate said so, so oh well.
Trying to get my arms around Cook County Health’s data breach involving 1.2-million people. Of course, they blame their vendor, whom they have fired, but why would a vendor of “medical transcription services” be given or have access to PHI or identifying information of 1.2 million people, for a large fraction of whom no transcription would be needed?

Chilly outside this morning, but 60s in mid November is nothing to scoff at.

Sunny. And dry. Again. It’s certainly beautiful but it is concerning. Gotta water new plants if you have them and trees need a drink until it freezes.

Weather up in Lemont was amazing, finally had good weather on that particular weekend for the first time in several years.
Down in Lebanon next weekend, and looks just as good.
