CTU just endorsed the (arguably?) least progressive candidate in the 3-way IL-7th race, over an incumbent who is a former teacher with a lifetime AFL-CIO vote score of 99%… strange times.
With Sam McCann in the news again I’m hoping someone here can help me out. I vaguely remember that he pulled some slimy move when he first ran for office, before his gubatorial run. But I can’t recall what it was. Anyone remember what I might be thinking about?

Could you be thinking of his 2010 Senate race with Deanna Demuzio and his claim on WLDS Jacksonville that those who criticized him were terrorists?
