Did they use ms paint for that photoshop?

  2. - 360 Degree TurnAround - Friday, Mar 11, 16 @ 11:47 am:

Was this paid for by the Illinois Chamber? I give the picture an A, made me laugh. But the words, bore me.

  3. - lake county democrat - Friday, Mar 11, 16 @ 11:48 am:

I want to see the Madigan Macarena.

  4. - AC - Friday, Mar 11, 16 @ 11:49 am:

That’s even more disturbing than Romanik’s billboards.

  5. - 47th Ward - Friday, Mar 11, 16 @ 11:49 am:

And Dunkin is dancing the Turnaround Tango.

  6. - The Captain - Friday, Mar 11, 16 @ 11:49 am:

Hahaha, it definitely caught my attention.

  7. - siriusly - Friday, Mar 11, 16 @ 11:50 am:

This piece is meaningless, waste of money. They must be bored.

  8. - IlliniSpartan - Friday, Mar 11, 16 @ 11:50 am:

Without actually reading the pamphlet (because I generally tend to ignore things that are slanted by people with an obvious ax to grind) I have to ask, why is Ken Dunkin against the arts, of which dancing is a valuable one. I was considering voting for him, but his blatant mockery of dancers is just a step too far!

  9. - wordslinger - Friday, Mar 11, 16 @ 11:52 am:

Whenever I see creative like this, I always wonder:

What were the ideas that were rejected?

  10. - 47th Ward - Friday, Mar 11, 16 @ 11:59 am:

Also, is Stratton really that short?

  11. - The Dude Abides - Friday, Mar 11, 16 @ 12:00 pm:

It’s kind of funny but it won’t sway voters.

  12. - Flynn's mom - Friday, Mar 11, 16 @ 12:04 pm:

It’s almost as goofy as this state has become!

It’s actually not nearly as easy as it seems to spend Uncle Brucester’s Millions.

    ****
    Brewster’s Millions
    PG 1985 ‧ Comedy/Screwball comedy ‧ 1h 42m
    6.5/10·IMDb
    36%·Rotten Tomatoes

After losing his position as a minor-league pitcher, Montgomery Brewster (Richard Pryor) learns his great-uncle has left him $300 million. To inherit it, Brewster must spend $30 million in 30 days under a complicated set of rules that forbid him from donating too much to charity or retaining any new assets when the period is up.

  14. - Small Town Girl - Friday, Mar 11, 16 @ 12:09 pm:

I keep waiting to see a flyer with a Zoolander theme for Bryce Benton.

  15. - crazybleedingheart - Friday, Mar 11, 16 @ 12:09 pm:

    “Dancin’ Days”

Tryin’ to please the Boss by speakin’ his lingo

  16. - Honeybear - Friday, Mar 11, 16 @ 12:11 pm:

    That’s catchy!

  17. - Michael Westen - Friday, Mar 11, 16 @ 12:11 pm:

The silly season is upon us.

  18. - Just Me - Friday, Mar 11, 16 @ 12:13 pm:

Forget seeing Madigan dance, I would just like to see him knock on some doors or work at CTA station at 7 a.m. asking for votes.

  19. - Nieva - Friday, Mar 11, 16 @ 12:15 pm:

    Nice!

  20. - Reality Check - Friday, Mar 11, 16 @ 12:15 pm:

I think the older folks in HD5 know damn well it’s the RAELETS, not Rayettes.

    Sheesh.

  21. - cdog - Friday, Mar 11, 16 @ 12:18 pm:

    That does hurt the eyes.

The bottom line to all this campaign spending makes my hopeful heart ache…

If the forces of “Dark Money” buy what they are trying to buy, it is not the pieces of their purchase that will matter much — a safe Dunkin, no more McCann, no more Madigan.

Still no 60-30, still no Red State.

What will have been gained is that this Force will have shown that throwing huge sums of money into negative advertising can drown out all other voices that do not agree.

    Vote accordingly.

(Any good lawsuits in the federal system that might overturn Citizens United? If not, there might be some good material here for a class of citizens. I am in, if needed.)

  22. - Me too - Friday, Mar 11, 16 @ 12:18 pm:

Read the text! It is like it was written by a second grader. The line Juliana Stratton “denied Mike Madigan runs ‘the Illinois House to the horrific institution of slavery’ despite his absolute control” What does that even mean?

It is like an angry rant that Maze wrote because she doesn’t agree with Dunkin’s statement. Somehow it is a negative that she doesn’t agree the house is like slavery? I think that would backfire, if anyone actually looked at this before throwing it in the trash, which after the horrible shop, they won’t.

  23. - cdog - Friday, Mar 11, 16 @ 12:20 pm:

I am going to cross post this on next thread re: $8.75m

  24. - JS Mill - Friday, Mar 11, 16 @ 12:25 pm:

Rich, can we get us some get right today? (hat tip to Honeybear) I need some Oscar pics stat!!

  25. - Tone - Friday, Mar 11, 16 @ 12:48 pm:

Wait, I thought Rahm is a RINO. Now I’m totally confused.

  26. - Tone - Friday, Mar 11, 16 @ 12:49 pm:

    ^ DINO

  27. - Precinct Captain - Friday, Mar 11, 16 @ 12:51 pm:

    Awful all around.

  28. - Bleh - Friday, Mar 11, 16 @ 1:10 pm:

    “ancient Irish powerbroker…”
WOW. I don’t believe that there is such a thing as reverse racism, but this pamphlet is full of pathetic coded language. Assuming Dunkin wins this one next week (which he might), his political clout is numbered.

  29. - One hand //ing - Friday, Mar 11, 16 @ 1:32 pm:

The people trying to elect a wife beater also belittle an accomplished woman? Get out of town!

  30. - Levois - Friday, Mar 11, 16 @ 1:34 pm:

I see what you mean by your eyes burn. LOL

  31. - NSideLady - Friday, Mar 11, 16 @ 2:55 pm:

The graphics are awful. The mailer itself is really busy. And while I did initially chuckle, there is something about this that rubs me the wrong way.

  32. - Oswego Willy - Friday, Mar 11, 16 @ 3:45 pm:

    The clothes make the….

    Never mind
