Turnout update
Tuesday, Nov 2, 2004 - Posted by Rich Miller The Southern Illinoisan reports heavy turnout in state Sen. Gary Forby’s hometown. By 8:30 a.m. today, Benton 1 precinct had 157 voters. That number is far higher than the precinct has had during a full day of voting during some past elections. One of the city’s largest precincts, Benton 1 has 1,016 registered voters.
