Probably trying to keep the gun people from being to angry getting more no votes for Blago. We have already seen by Calif. that these type bans do not work but the gun kooks like Daley and Blago don’t care.Even Sen. Schuler has backed down from saying that these are the type of guns terrorist like. When we see everyday they use bombs.

  2. - Conservative Proletariat - Monday, Feb 27, 06 @ 4:09 pm:

I somewhat hope the democrats do pass this bill so that Conservatives will gain thousands of new members. After we kick their rears in the next election after its passed we can throw it out.

This bill will just increase the Conservative ranks in Illinois

Emil seems to be Mister No this session. Maybe he got sick of being used by the manovich.

  4. - NIEVA - Monday, Feb 27, 06 @ 5:50 pm:

I went out and shot my assult wheapon over the weekend and boy was it fun!!! No I did’nt do a drive by or shootup a school. Some buddies an I got together and setup some targets and enjoyed ourselfs. All we can hope for is that the mayor will jerk Rods chain and choke him with it.

If this assault weapons ban passes it will never be repealed. There are four company’s that will close down Springfield Armory, Armalite,Rock River, Les Baer Custom. These companys will move to another state. This means more people on government assistance. HB 2414 will prohibit the manufacture of firearms in the State of Illinois. Call your rep’s in Springfield tell them to oppose this anti Second Amendment bill.

Blago likes to flip flop it’s time to vote him out and Mayor Dick Daley is the puppet master.

    To Conservative Proletariat:
Ah yes the eternal optimist. Alan “Let’s give everyone a machine gun” Keyes was such a success. You’ll need a few more than thousands of new members to ever get one of your guys or girls elected statewide. If your beloved assault weapons are so popular amongst the electorate why doesn’t Brady or Oberweis have the guts to run a commercial talking about how great it would be for every Illinois family to have an AK-47 or a TEC-9 in their home, because you never know if Osama Bin Laden is hiding in your backyard. As for terrorism, terrorists may not be using them here yet, but you’re kidding yourself if you think they aren’t buying them in the good ole USA.

    Peace

EvanstonBoy, go play in the sand box with the rest of the other kiddies. Those guns are not legal without a Federal Firearms license. So if someone owns one without one it’s already illegal. But don’t feel bad the media has so scared people your not the only one who knows squat about guns. The sad thing is that almost all of the rest of the country except 6 states have concealed carry and they are safer then we are. So not being allowed to have the constitutional right to protect ourselfs or our family is costing lives in Illinois

    Rich,

That may be purely a political move, however the seed is already planted. It was Southern conservative Demos that help elected Blago. They have not forgotten that he has all but thumbed his nose at gun owners, except for the Sparta complex, which is in debate as to whom started that.

  9. - respectful - Tuesday, Feb 28, 06 @ 7:48 am:

    another legislative defeat for A-Rod.
