Bloggers and commenters, please remember that I’ll be highlighting Illinois political blogs tonight on Fox News Chicago from 9 to 11. It would help if bloggers tell me what they’re doing in comments. Thanks.

  1. - Eric the Red - Tuesday, Mar 21, 06 @ 6:25 pm:

Heading back to polling place - closing four precincts in Oak Park. Turnouts in the 25% range at 5 PM but PM “rush” hadn’t peaked yet.

  2. - DOWNSTATE - Tuesday, Mar 21, 06 @ 6:33 pm:

RICH maybe you will have some big news tonite.Just read the new ratings and Blago is at 52% DISAPPROVAL RATING.

  3. - Nearly Normal - Tuesday, Mar 21, 06 @ 6:39 pm:

Watching the returns on TV. Our cable has only one Chicago station–WGN–so won’t be seeing Rich on TV. Also, checking out the new election results webpages for McLean County and City of Bloomington to see how the local election goes.

  4. - Bill Baar - Tuesday, Mar 21, 06 @ 6:41 pm:

I my way to Joe Pena’s (running in R race for Kane County Sheriff) post election event at Geneva’s River Front restaurant. Hopefully the wireless works there and I can blog and take some pics.

  5. - Jack Darin - Tuesday, Mar 21, 06 @ 6:43 pm:

I’ll have updates from Claypool and Shore parties, and GA races around the state Sierra Club is working in.

  6. - anonymous - Tuesday, Mar 21, 06 @ 6:48 pm:

will zap you numbers from jacobs-rumler and the third appellate race

  7. - George - Tuesday, Mar 21, 06 @ 6:53 pm:

waiting for the results and sitting w/ political science books. Hopefully the internet at school decides to play nice tonight. Good luck…

  8. - Realist - Tuesday, Mar 21, 06 @ 6:56 pm:

Does anyone know a site that will be updating election returns throughout the night?

  9. - Trapped in Springfield - Tuesday, Mar 21, 06 @ 7:02 pm:

I’m stuck in Springfield. Does anyone know a website that will give live updates?

  10. - Anon - Tuesday, Mar 21, 06 @ 7:05 pm:

If you go to the individual county websites you can get the results quickest. I think ABC channel 7 in Chicago will be updating numbers fairly quickly.

  11. - Inside Dope - Tuesday, Mar 21, 06 @ 7:13 pm:

I was going to be updating Jacobs/Rumler & 3rd appellate results but I see some anonymous non-blogger has decided to do it for you instead.

  13. - diane - Tuesday, Mar 21, 06 @ 7:28 pm:

The Belleville News Democrat has a page which is supposed to have statewide results county by county as they come in. Whether that will actually happen is yet to be seen, but it is worth a try. Belleville.com

  14. - Common Sense in Illinois - Tuesday, Mar 21, 06 @ 7:32 pm:

HEY RICH…if you get a chance, doesn’t AP stream statewide results online? If so, do you have the link?

  15. - Anonymous - Tuesday, Mar 21, 06 @ 7:36 pm:

    lake county wins

  16. - Realist - Tuesday, Mar 21, 06 @ 7:47 pm:

These slow results are driving this political fan bonkers. Maybe we’ve come full circle with technology and now have to go back to reading the newspaper in the morning. The campaign parties may feature people sleeping in their chairs.

Rich — great spot on Fox just now, but tired at 11 p.m.?? isn’t that about the time you start dancing at the party? love the cap fax. love the blog. congratulations!

  33. - steve schnorf - Tuesday, Mar 21, 06 @ 11:17 pm:

Just sitting at home with 27 websites open and the TV on, calling friends around the state to see what’s going on—very, very relaxed. Looks to me like JBT by about 40,000. Brady did himself proud.

  34. - steve schnorf - Tuesday, Mar 21, 06 @ 11:34 pm:

Maybe closer to 50,000 for Judy

  35. - steve schnorf - Tuesday, Mar 21, 06 @ 11:54 pm:

It looks like Brady is winning as many counties as Oberweis is

  36. - steve schnorf - Wednesday, Mar 22, 06 @ 12:48 am:

Am I the only person still up? Something very interesting; in this blue state, at this time there are as many Rs voted in the gubernatorial primary as ther are Ds.
