Not so good
Monday, Mar 27, 2006 - Posted by Rich Miller Kane County Circuit Court Clerk Sandy Wegman didn’t do too well in her home county, finishing third in the lt. governor’s race and receiving less than 17 percent of the vote. Jim Oberweis, who lives in Kane County and is thinking about running for Kane County GOP Chairman, among other things, finished first, but was held below 40 percent. Jack Roeser, whose greatest political highlights in recent years has been defeating one school referendum after another, finally lost a big referendum vote on Tuesday.

You have to win at home. Maybe if some of these people would have tried the waters in their home counties thay could have saved millions of dollars.

Looks like Sandy should be worried about the next primary. 6,800 votes. Maybe Obie should look to start small. Maybe he could run for Recorder. Just a thought. At least JAck Rossier could claim victory either way.

Can Oberweis miss the mark any more? If you have millions of dollars to spend and want to help the GOP, don’t spend money attacking other viable republicans. Go to the chairmen and tell him you want to run for a legislative seat where a democrat is unopposed. Spend your millions and pick off a democrat, or at least make Madigan funnel money into the race(helping other republican candidates). Maybe he spends a milion bucks actually picks up a seat.
Oberweis has wants to be a GOP office holder, yet he has spent tens of millions in 3 elections attacking republicans. Maybe he is just a plant from the democrats to weaken GOP candidates in the primary?

Poor Sandy Wegman. First she takes away the chairs from the Recorder’s office. Then she finishes third in the primary her own county. Then she’s confused with the Circuit Court Clerk on the state’s foremost political blog. I think “asterisk” would be a flattering description for her statewide candidacy.

Oby ??? County Chairman ???? Yikes !!!!!!!!! He’ll be a pain where you don’t need it. Hell he thumbed his nose at the GOP chairman this time thinking if I don’t use them … I don’t owe them. He’s just nuts for power…any kind of power. Keep them all in Kane Co. as someone else mentioned, build a fence around it & no-one in or out without a pass. Now we’re down to 101 counties & OBY can be “king” of his little kingdom. Oby-don-quixote !!!

Wegman was correct in taking away chairs from the childish title searchers. I did not support Larry, oops, I mean Sandy, but she was correct with this.
