Sympathetic juror ousted

It looks like the holdout juror was kicked off.
The family of an ousted juror is rallying to her defense, saying she is a good mother who wanted to stay on the jury.
As CBS 2’s Joanie Lum reports, Evelyn Ezell’s son says his mom feels the odds are stacked against former Gov. George Ryan.
Dismissed juror Evelyn Ezell was not available at her South Side home, but off-camera, her 23-year-old son did talk about his mother’s experience.
Marvin Brown says his mother “feels sorry for George Ryan. Now that she’s gone, no one’s on his side.â€
The two jurors were dismissed for concealing their criminal history during jury selection.
Both said they had never been charged with a crime.
Emphasis added.

Still waiting for someone to bust the Justice Dept for leaking the juror informantion to avoid a not guilty verdict.

A crook sympathetic to another crook, surprise surprise. When is Jeremy Margolis going to answer for lying right before the election that there was nothing to the CDL scandal? Poshard would have won without that stunt.

What I want to know as an Illinois taxpayer is “What is Judge Pallmeyer going to do to punish these two jurors that deliberately lied under oath and made a mockery of the federal court system in Illinois?”
There has already been an enormous amount of time and taxpayer money spent on this George Ryan trial. These two mental midgets that Judge Pallmeyer had to dismiss from the jury due to their deliberate perjury will now pave the way for additional appeals by the defense team and an additional wad of taxpayer money will have to be spent because of their manipulation of our federal legal system.
If Judge Pallmeyer doesn’t give each of them at least 3 months in jail and a heavy financial penalty for their lying under oath, she is opening Pandora’s Box for future jurors that wish to manipulate our federal legal system. George Ryan and Larry Warner will see that they, too, can lie under oath because the penalties for doing so are insignificant.
Congrats to Ray Gibson-investigative reporter for the Chicago Tribune for discovering that these two jurors had criminal backgrounds. The Feds and Winston & Strawn might do well to offer you a job!

Rich, you’re right that no one comments on these posts. I think the reason is that virtually everyone has already made up their mind about whether or not Ryan is guilty — in my view, 90+% of IL residents would say guilty — and the trial has not produced much real news. I mean, Fawell’s already guilty, his girlfriend was guilty, Dean Bauer’s guilty, and the general storyline has remained the same for 2 years or more. No one will have any interest in this unless the jury actually finds him NOT guilty on ALL counts.
