rich,
it is interesting that no one has mentioned that the head of danielle ashley advertising is also the head of PR for the house of hope (Meeks). Is this why her contract was double by IDOT in the last year?

Off-topic, but Cook County finally finished counting the ballots from the primary. It only took them EIGHT DAYS! Well, at least we’re faster than Florida. In case anyone’s interested, the final numbers were:
Cook County:
Stroger 53.5%
Claypool 46.5%
Statewide:
Blagojevich 71%
Eisendrath 29%
Topinka 38%
Oberweis 32%
Brady 18%
Gidwitz 11%
Stroger’s stroke apparently had very little, if any effect. Oberweis probably would have won if Brady had dropped out but maybe not if both Brady and Gidwitz had dropped out. And Eisendrath fell short of 30%, as he also did 15 years ago in his Congressional race against Sidney Yates. So 30% is now the “Eisendrath Line” in Illinois politics.

Rich, I agree about blogs deserving attribution. No one’s mentioned that TV stations have been doing this for decades.

Silverstein said: “It depends on what happens in the next couple of months, if the Feds do any type of investigation of his administration.†Where has the good senator been for the last few months? “IF the Feds do any type of investigation…” They have so many going right now, we’ve lost count…

Kane County is a lost cause.

Maybe the auditor general should take a closer look at one of the consultants for IDOT that has a fraud conviction for some work done at CPS during Sec. Martin’s tenure there.
