Tuesday afternoon time-waster
Tuesday, Jul 11, 2006 - Posted by Rich Miller My buddy Pete S. sent me this link. The Widespread Panic fan site PanicStream has a large collection of live Grateful Dead performances which were voted “best” by Panic fans. As Pete wrote, you may disagree that these are the best possible cuts, but they’re still pretty darned good. Have a listen.

Sweetpea! Shouldn’t you be studying?
I’ll cast my vote for #69 - Sugaree.
Thanks for the link, Rich.

You call him “SweetPea,” I call him “Iron Man” because he somehow got us home from that Wilco show in Urbana - through a snowstorm even.

I think he’s a hottie.

Secret crush-
The back of the line is somewhere in Milwaukee, but Pete’s a one-woman man and he’s in looooooooooove.

It is like 1978 in my house this afternoon thanks to you rich.
This thread required the headphones and bong. After a great deal of “thinking” and in the spirit of the past week I will have to go with “Me and my Uncle”.
I was spinning like I had eaten 5 pieces of paper.

Thanks for the post Rich. As a Deadhead, now that people commented, I can’t help but mention the large amount of songs from the 90s, but beggars cant be choosers, right?
My pick is Space (Phil’s Earthquake Space) at #65. It might be especially good for “chinman” to check it out.

Rich - thanks for sharing…I concur with Sweet Iron, perhaps a few too many 90s renditions for my liking - and that version of Jack Straw was pretty cashed-out, but there are definitely some nuggets on the site…thanks for sharing with others!

Gotta like them US Blues. I’ll have to play a few of these in the office tomorrow to wake up the staff.
