Fair pics - day one

It was overcast yesterday afternoon, so the crowds were sparse. But the weather was fine. Hank Greenholdt sings the old standards like a pro. You gotta catch his act. A strange booth near the grandstand. He actually exists. Last night some friends of mine and I went to see Trixie Delight at the Corona tent. A headbanging band with a Mama Cass-like lead singer wouldn’t normally be my cup of tea, but it was a BLAST. Mayor Davlin and I were gushing all over them during a set break. I didn’t even know he was in the relatively small tent because I was getting into the band so much. If you’re ever in St. Louis, go see this band.
