About the time we get to believing that here is “finally” a political type that is above the normal political mud smearing that we have come to expect in Illinois politics, Lisa comes out with a “dumb statement” like this one. “What was she thinking of?” I assume her implication is that Stu Umholtz is guilty of improprieties in his political office? That is how most reasonable people would interpret her statement. This statement “boomerangs” on Lisa Madigan because it also implies that she is withholding pertinent information on Stu or his office for her own political devices. I think Lisa is a decent individual that has been hanging around too many of the other political low lifes recently.
