- Note to all state workers... - Friday, Jul 20, 07 @ 8:01 am:
Blessed the man who follows not
the counsel of the wicked
Nor walks in the way of sinners,
nor sits in the company of the insolent,
But delights in the law of the LORD
and meditates on his law day and night.

Illinois gets a grade of “F” and ranks 37th among states when it comes to personal disclosure requirements for governors.
Guess Governor (Ethics) Blagojevich lied to us.

These latest series of indictments prove anew that Illinois has an epeidemic of bipartisan corruption: upstate, downstate,Democrats, Republicans,Chicago, and the suburbs too.
Everything seems to be for sale in the Land of Lincoln.
But Senator jones doesn’t think we need “pay-to play” or ethics legislation. He’s got three bills with widespread bipartican support bottled up in the Seante Rules Committee. It’s time for a change in the Senate Democratic leadership in the Illinois Senate.
Senator Jones: It’s reformism, not racism!

Doesn’t Monahan Landscape Co. tend Blagojevich and Daley’s lawns?

AFter our spirited exhcange on the subject of BP’s plant to poison Lake Michigan yesterday, I loved the morning editorials.
The pro-business Tribune noted the BP’s pollution permit “followed the letter of the law” but was “stunningly boneheaded.”
The editorail confimred the adverse economic impact of BP’s pollution plan: “As goes Lake Michigan, so goes Chicago, Milwaukee, and much of the Upper Midwest.”
In effect, the Tribune pointed out BP’s corporate hypocrisy when its pollution plans/actions are compared with its advertising campaign promoting an image of “environmental sensitivity.” (my words and conclusions, not the Tribune’s.)
The Sun-Time emphatically declared “zero tolerance for the release of any additional pollution into our precious lake water.”

At the end of the day, it would appear that Monahan collects anything that is green and growing and does not go to a landfill.

Sorry to see Patricia Reid Lindner is planning on hanging up her House spurs at the end of this term. She’s been a great rep…

Wouldn’t providing a rebate on IL made cars be against the spirit of the idea that the US is one common market?
Good luck to Ms. Rosenzweig in her new gig as overseer of OPS.
