Creepiest. Video. Ever.

The video… The correct answer, by the way, is “B.” …Adding… This song seems appropriate… What’s wrong with you? Any other song suggestions for the overtime session and budget meltdown?

Better yet - Postcards from Paraguay by Mark Knopfler
“one thing was leading to the next
i bit off mare than I could chew
i had the power to sign the checques
it wasn’t difficult to do
i couldn’t stay to face the music
so many reasons why
i won’t be sending postcards
from paraguay…..
i robbed a bank full of dinero
a great big mountain of dough
so it was goodbye companero
and cherrio
i couldn’t stay to face the music….
…
i never meant to be a cheater
but there was blood on the wall
i had to steal from peter
to pay what i owed to paul
i couldn’t stay to face the music…..

Yeah, my blood’s so mad feels like coagulatin’

And marches alone can’t bring integration
When human respect is disintegratin’
This whole crazy world is just too frustratin’

It’s the Final Meltdown! - Song & Lyrics by Europe, enhanced by VanillaMan
We’re glued together
and this is farewell
and we’ll be forced back,
to roast in prairie hell?
I guess there is no one left to blame
we’re finger pointing around (and around)
will things ever be the same again?
It’s the final Meltdown.
The final Meltdown.
Oh, We’re returning to Chicago (Chicago)
and still we stand tall
maybe they’ve not seen us
and we’ll escape next Fall, yeah
like the term years we blow
running this state into the ground
I’m sure that they’ll miss us so
It’s the final Meltdown.
The final Meltdown.
The final Meltdown (final Meltdown)
oh…oh
The final Meltdown
Oh, it’s the final Meltdown
The final Meltdown
The final Meltdown (final Meltdown)
Oh, it’s the final Meltdown
we’re in this together
The final Meltdown
we’ll all miss power so
It’s the final Meltdown (final Meltdown)
Oh, it’s the final Meltdown

As to John’s performance as Bill Sykes this month in Oliver! - well, playing a demented Dickens character is good training for the kind of Dickensian nonsense passing for government in this state!
Future QOTD - Which Dickens’ character are each of our state leaders?
- Eubie - Wednesday, Jun 24, 09 @ 5:00 pm:
Stevie Ray Waughn, “Caught in the Crossfire”…
“I need some kind of kindness….some kind of sympathy - Oh no!
Were stranded….caught in the crossfire
Save the strong lose the weak….never turning the other cheek
Trust nobody dont be no fool….whatever happened to the golden rule?
We got stranded….caught in the crossfire
We got stranded….caught in the crossfire
We got stranded….caught in the crossfire
Stranded….caught in the crossfire
Help me”
Yep.
- Eubie - Wednesday, Jun 24, 09 @ 5:02 pm:
Sorry, duh, obviously Stevie Ray Vaughn, not Waughn

How about “Jimmy Crack Corn and I dont Care”
Why? Because it makes no sense.
- wordslinger - Wednesday, Jun 24, 09 @ 7:59 pm:
I had “Ball of Confusion” by the Temps. The lyrics are somewhat dated, but the groove is spot on.
Upon further review, I’ll go with “Shipping Up to Boston,” by the Dropkick Murphys. It was on “The Departed” soundtrack.
The groove feels like a stinking, hot, frustrating day in Springfield.
