Today’s videos
Thursday, Sep 24, 2009 - Posted by Rich Miller * Apparently, Gov. Pat Quinn has two videographers following him around to events. Check out this state video, and this campaign video from this week’s tourism promotion presser at Navy Pier with Mayor Daley. Quinn’s campaign video is much higher quality, but its view count as of this writing is 16, vs. 303 for the state vid. * Former assistant US Attorney Patrick Collins admitted some hard truths to ABC7 about the way federal prosecutors do business. Watch it…
That could easily be seen as part of the problem - relying far too much on pressuring people to extract “cooperation” rather than building a case on their own. * WGN has created an ingenious auto-tune video of Rod Blagojevich. It’s a must-watch…

John Williams…the only person who can make RRB actually carry a tune. Well done, sir, well done.

Does Quinn really need two photographers? What’s the one going to get the other can’t? He is who he is — a regular schlump. It’s a good thing for him.
I don’t think there’s a “GQ” or “Men’s Health” cover in the future.

I didn’t know that John Williams was related to Crispin Glover.

Quinn is playing it smarter (and cleaner) than Blago; he has a separate guy shooting campaign-oriented stuff, with a campaign slant, instead of misusing the tax-funded state camera service, which is supposed to be non-partisan and more generic in scope. Blago had people who specialized in blurring those lines.
Odd that Quinn didn’t take advantage of his private campaign camera to make a more pointed remark about Hynes that directly connected to the tourism topic. Only reporters seemed to have made the connection. Maybe he did make that comment but they edited it out. Maybe he’s pulling punched out of politeness?
Meanwhile, we *must live-blog The Daily Show tonight; Blago is the guest, Stewart is likely to be at least as good as Bonnie Hunt, unless he is still hung over from the Emmys.

Does the pressure lead to lying? Fair point. How about does it lead to suicide? Is that too much pressure?
