    1. Per a post on Palin’s Facebook page: “Sarah Palin and family pose with U.S. Grant.”

    2. “You know, if there is one thing that Lincoln taught us is that the right to bear arms is so important. If only Paul Revere had alerted John Wilkes Boothe of the fact that people in the theater had the right to carry, Mr. Lincoln would still be alive today!”

  2. - Barton Lorimor - Monday, Aug 15, 11 @ 6:36 am:

“I hear what you’re saying, Sarah. I was kind of a foreign policy buff, too. I could see Virginia from my backyard in Washington. I’d let you find that out for yourself but *chuckle* you know…” - Abe

  3. - Quinn T. Sential - Monday, Aug 15, 11 @ 6:58 am:

Just curious, does posting this pic and caption contest make Cap Fax part of the “lame-stream” media? I can never remember the rules on that.

  15. - Anonymous - Monday, Aug 15, 11 @ 8:46 am:

Sarah: And did I tell you that I hunt caribou, too, Mr. President?

Lincoln: How many legs does a dog have if you call the tail a leg? Four. Calling a tail a leg doesn’t make it a leg.

Sarah Palin: Well, let’s see. There’s ― of course in the great history of America there have been rulings that there’s never going to be absolute consensus by every American, and there are those issues, again, like Roe v. Wade, where I believe are best held on a state level and addressed there.

    President Lincoln: Seward’s folly indeed.

Please be aware that I am a fan of Palin (though I hope she doesn’t run for President) and Lincoln (who faced unimaginable obstacles) so no offense or ill will meant.
