DCCC opposition research posted online
Thursday, Aug 30, 2012 - Posted by Rich Miller * For whatever reason, the DCCC’s opposition research reports on several Republican congressional candidates have been posted online. They were found by a loyal reader this afternoon when he was searching Google for something else. Click here for the Google search which eventually turned them all up. I downloaded all the Illinois reports I could find… How about we do a little “crowd sourcing” with these OR books? Have fun reading, and make sure to tell us all what you find.

In order for unaffiliated organizations to use the oppo it has to be generally available. That’s why the tracker info is on line. DCCC can’t send this info to any of the third party groups. So they put it out for all to see and anyone can make ads using the info.

Both parties are posting their research this cycle. The NRCC has been doing it as well- http://www.democratfacts.org/

OK, this is kinda weird. Plummer owns 48 percent of “Giddy Gander,” a New Jersey children’s TV enterprise.

What did I find?
That Plummer has done a whole lot of nothing.
That Walsh is one big mess. Gawd.

Plummer’s bankrolling Giddy Gander? Home of the Wumblurs?
Willie, nothing to see here. Think of your blood pressure, cousin.

1. These are the last books we’ll see without social media sections. Plummer is young enough to have had a facebook/friendster profile before he was considering running for office and while he was in his youth and there are undoubtedly pictures and comments he made on peoples profiles still lurking out there like mines. This does not seem like a young man who spent his youth in a library.
2. There’s no section on other stuff they’ve said on social media.
3. Walsh once studied theatre in new york, this might explain his ability to produce drama.
4. That’s a lot of money for plummer, you could make a strong case there alone.

(counting … 10, 9, 8, 7 ….)
(gritting teeth) … maybe … somebody else … needs to …. do … Plummer’s … Thumbnail …

Walsh studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute? That’s Method Acting. Might explain the high emotions.
The institute itself is not easy to get into and is known for only taking top prospects. It’s alumni are a “Who’s Who” in movies and theater. I wonder how long we was there.
Lee Straberg, by the way, played “Hyman Roth” in II.

..and we wonder why so many avoid running for public office.

Walsh once shot a man in Reno just to watch him die. Wow.

most of this stuff is issue positions and damning traffic tickets. My favorite was the clinton oppo where they found out he had listed his underwear on his tax filing/return in the 80s.
- Oswego Willy - Thursday, Aug 30, 12 @ 3:48 pm:
“We have a complete dossier on you: Jason Plummer, American, age 28. Cannot return to his country. The reason is a little vague. We also know what you did in Paris, Mr. Plummer, and also we know why you left Paris.” …..

The “don’t mention Bush” admission on the republican site struck me as funny. From their Brad Schneider summary advice http://www.democratfacts.org/index.php/states-a-m/illinois/brad-schneider
“Thematically, it is important to remember that this is a fiscally conservative and socially liberal district. Issues such as taxes (although not referred to as the Bush tax cuts), spending, earmarks and debt work well. Any issues that point towards corruption, ethical issues and special interests also work very well. Social issues do not work here including guns, gay marriage, abortion and public education.”

In 2009 Walsh claimed the earned income credit on his federal income tax return . . .
- Andrew Mossman - Thursday, Aug 30, 12 @ 4:43 pm:
Plummer has “unearned income ranging from $315,325.90 to $3,374,700.00 for 2011, in addition to his earned
income from R. P. Lumber. In 2010, his unearned income ranged from $297,552.20 to $2,270,001.00.” To state the obvious, this is probably why Mr. Plummer hasn’t released his tax returns.

On Joe Walsh:
I’ll tell you what I’m blathering about… I’ve got information man! New [stuff] has come to light! Well sure, man. Look at it… a middle-aged trophy husband, in the parlance of our times, you know, and he, uh, uh, owes money all over town, including to known [everybody, really], and that’s cool… that’s, that’s cool, I’m, I’m saying, he needs money, man. And of course they’re going to say that they didn’t get it, because… he wants more, man! He’s got to feed the monkey, I mean uh… hasn’t that ever occurred to you, man? Sir?

Its not “news”, but I’m sure all those quotes about Plummer from 2010 will be making the airwaves,

I’m no fan of Walsh, but even I was surprized at how self-centered and irresponsible with money he has been.
