Funny comment on the Pantagraph web site: since ISU receives only 17% of its funding from the state, Quinn should be able to appoint only 17% of the board of trustees.

The tweet from the GOP about Caribou Coffee is a bit disappointing.
In reality, they are closing only two stores and re-branding all the rest.
It seems like the ILGOP simply wants to promote what sounds like bad news (Caribou closing).

on the dome site state salaries most of the dept. of rev. live out of state. they collet taxes but live where the tax is less ? whats up with that.

Most of the Dept. of Revenue does not live out of state. They have individuals that work out of state due to the nature of tax collections. Sheesh.
