If I knocked on this door while these guys were country jamming, I’d report 5 GOP pluses and keep moving. Kinda fun way to start the day. You got us used to shock therapy there for a while.

Eighty years ago, when the Chicago Cubs used to win the National League pennant every three years or so, the team had a tradition of having a string band composed of players. Lots of Southerners on the roster back in the day.
Useless trivia assignment for the day is complete.
- Kasich Walker, Jr. - Thursday, Nov 6, 14 @ 8:16 am:
Great arrangement.
The Infamous Stringdusters isn’t any ordinary string band.
Cool song…good choice. But I was thinking, what about all the folks who aren’t “gone, gone, gone?” Only one incumbent member of the General Election lost on Tuesday. When’s the last time that happened?
I the spirit of transition I humbly suggest that you consider posting the Clash video “Should I Stay or Should I Go” for all the middle level state staff (not Executive Appointees) that waited for the election results before deciding on retirement.
You must be a city boy. These talented guys vote their economic interests…true blue Dems.===
Not a chance A-most. I’ve been to houses like this a thousand times. Great music, house resting on cinder blocks. No screen door. American Flag in front without a single tatter, flying in the wind. An ugly dog with a wonderful disposition out front. Too many cars, half don’t work and just yield parts. Hospitably offer you a refreshing drink from an unmarked jug. These guys are rock hard red boys of the GOP. lol

Nice one, Rich. The Dead have gotten me through a lot over the years. They’ll get me through a Rauner administration.

And in case you’re wondering what happened to my site, I’m wondering too. Hopefully it’ll be fixed soon.

This song hits close to home today with news that former Congressman Lane Evans passed away last night. “Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile.”
- Kasich Walker, Jr. - Thursday, Nov 6, 14 @ 8:26 am:
….looks like they’ve had some personnel changes, too over the years.
Even with a mandolinist, I doubt they could beat a Cubs team.
- West Sider - Thursday, Nov 6, 14 @ 8:28 am:
Fits my mood, today.
- Amalia - Thursday, Nov 6, 14 @ 8:29 am:
love the song, but the news in Former Downstater’s post is making me so so sad….Lane Evans was wonderful.

In a moment of paranoia I thought just maybe some of Gov. Elect Rauner’s young hot shots hacked the site and took names and numbers. Nah.

This is a great cover, thank you for sharing!
