I’m glad Rauner is attending Sawing & Shearing tomorrow, but he really should have begun negotiations with Madigan and Cullerton much sooner.

    “What could possibly go wrong?”

    Everything?

  10. - AC - Thursday, Mar 12, 15 @ 5:39 pm:

“Turnaround!?” exclaimed the governor’s assistant, “this prop of a van can barely go around corners!”

  11. - truthteller - Thursday, Mar 12, 15 @ 5:39 pm:

Sawing and shearing. Isn’t that what he’s been doing to the budget.
Worry not. He’ll cut everyone else’s fingers not his own or those of any of his rich friends

kind of like friday the 13th is irony land with Rauner. maybe his administration is really just a giant setup for a movie by Christopher Guest.

The last election called and said it wants it’s campaign speeches back.

  21. - Wordslinger - Thursday, Mar 12, 15 @ 6:52 pm:

Sounds like the barn in “Walk Hard” where John C. Reilly and the dude who plays Arlo Givens had the machete fight.

In a tortured segue, my book on “Justified” ending: Ava lives,
Raylan and Boyd never leave Harlan alive.

  22. - Ghost - Thursday, Mar 12, 15 @ 7:47 pm:

    Shear madness

  24. - 618662dem - Thursday, Mar 12, 15 @ 8:15 pm:

I hear it will feature an interpretive dance featuring the 1983 hit “Total Eclipse of the Heart” with Rauner playing the part of Bonnie Tyler. The presentation will feature a remake of the video, which if you haven’t seen it you should, in which Rauner will seduce the working stiffs of the factory.

  29. - IPIlie - Thursday, Mar 12, 15 @ 9:41 pm:

In an unprecedented move, the Governor invited Government union bosses to join him for the demonstration. Spokesman Lance Trover says the trashcan van broke down and the Governor intened to be there when the mishap with the union bosses occurred.
