If they cut wages the tax coming in will go down, and less money will be spent locally…. So rauners proposals to save tax dollats will hurt the economy and local business
This reminds me of when I was working against an ant-tax initiative in Nebraska years ago. The billionaire geniuses behind the initiative ran tv ads with alleged farmers speaking against a backdrop of fields and stone fences. Only thing was … they don’t have stone fences between fields in Nebraska. Turns out the ad was shot in Virginia. Initiative lost overwhelmingly.
If this is the best the opposition can do, I’m fairly certain that the voters in Southern Illinois
will see through this and do the right thing. That is not to say that any of the elected officials are above reproach or legitimate criticism for their positions - including Brandon, who was thrown into this mess.
It is amazing what you can do with $20 million in your campaign fund!
