He never moves fast

Luckily for him, today’s protesters have other fish to fry. Go check out Mitch Dudek’s excellent Twitter feed for ongoing coverage. Also, this one (watch for language).

I like that - “fact finding mission”.
- The Teflon Rahm - Wednesday, Dec 9, 15 @ 2:15 pm:
VM said it before I could. How many troops has he sent on this “mission” and how much time have they spent?
- sideline watcher - Wednesday, Dec 9, 15 @ 2:17 pm:
Yes the speaker is lucky. That’s disgraceful.
- JackD - Wednesday, Dec 9, 15 @ 2:25 pm:
I didn’t know the Speaker’s office had much to do with the CPD or the Cook County State’s Attorney. Live and learn.
- crazybleedingheart - Wednesday, Dec 9, 15 @ 2:29 pm:
GA members, you’re on notice. These questions and more like them are headed your way.
Right now, you have time to reconsider issuing a Rahm or Madigan response before you give one.
- Rich Miller - Wednesday, Dec 9, 15 @ 2:29 pm:
JackD, there are numerous state laws which apply to both offices.
Not to mention that he probably has some people on the payrolls.
- wordslinger - Wednesday, Dec 9, 15 @ 2:34 pm:
MJM missed a trick. He just should have said he cried. Totally changes the subject.
- Robert the Bruce - Wednesday, Dec 9, 15 @ 2:36 pm:
@crazybleedingheart, fortunately some GA members are all over this issue and on are on the right side of history rather than ducking. Jehan Gordon-Booth for example.
- Gooner - Wednesday, Dec 9, 15 @ 2:43 pm:
Kwame Raoul is asking the party to reconsider slating.
On the other hand, Alvarez is still making calls to raise funds. She’s far from giving up.
- Tone - Wednesday, Dec 9, 15 @ 2:47 pm:
Alvarez has my vote. Prekwinkle is pushing someone, whoever that is, is automatically out. Prekwinkle has morphed into Stroger.
- Tone - Wednesday, Dec 9, 15 @ 2:48 pm:
Madigan lives in Chicago. You don’t think he’s thought about this? LOL!
- sideline watcher - Wednesday, Dec 9, 15 @ 2:54 pm:
I just find it pretty cold and callous that the Speaker can’t even state the obvious. His silence is deafening. A fact finding mission? For what? He could even do that without throwing Alvarez under the bus. But a no comment-comment is awful. We already know enough facts to make a statement. The whole world does.
- crazybleedingheart - Wednesday, Dec 9, 15 @ 3:08 pm:
Maybe he can muster a comment on HB4356.
- Georg Sande - Wednesday, Dec 9, 15 @ 3:11 pm:
Yeah, the release of the McDonald video and resulting controversy chronicled all over the media in Chicago is only weeks old … he needs further time to study things.
What he doesn’t need to study is at least how much, and how fast, he’d raise taxes.

==Not to mention that he probably has some people on the payrolls.==
the words “probably” and “some” do not belong in this statement. ha

Nobody puts baby in a corner. /s
- True Dat - Wednesday, Dec 9, 15 @ 3:54 pm:
Madigan is the Democratic Committeeman of the 13th Ward. How could he not be involved in the primary?
- Three Dimensional Checkers - Wednesday, Dec 9, 15 @ 4:19 pm:

Kim “law license on hold” Foxx or Donna “the gambling lawyer” More. nah.==
Kim Foxx’s law license looks up to standard to me. Why don’t you check for yourself before you make any wild accusations?

To the post, maybe the party does slate someone besides Anita. The bosses don’t like taking chances.

===Kim Foxx’s law license looks up to standard to me===
Me too.
- Kyle Hillman - Wednesday, Dec 9, 15 @ 5:01 pm:
Some sloppy opposition research being posted on here.
I can only assume what she is talking about is when Kim VOLUNTARILY put her license into inactive status while she was working as Chief of Staff and not practicing law. Which is a normal practice.
The ARDC has no complaint on file for Kim Foxx.
- Striketoo - Thursday, Dec 10, 15 @ 5:23 am:
He should have simply stated that Rham and Anita had participated in the planned coverup of a murder and let it go at that.
