Dunkin is talkin’ about an underutilitization amendment for minorities. He was told not at this time, for HB 580, and that this issue was not brought up previously.
Is this Dunkin’s “out” from voting for HB 580? Dunkin is pushing for this amendment and wants this vote now. It seems like a terrible excuse to not vote for the bill.
Dunkin is intentionally messing with 580. The language he is proposing is controversial to say the least and if this is what he wanted he should have submitted it long before the day the bill was being called. Obstructionist grass bowl.
Come now of course Dunkin needed an excuse amendment he couldn’t very well say “I support AFSCME and other unions but Rauners checkbook supports me so I vote No.”
I’m assuming this is just to put red lights on people before the election. Is there really any chance to peel off 2 R’s? I saw Cabello and Pritchard voted present but will they go green on an override?
Why did Franks & Lilly (D) not vote?
•Arbitration roll call:
-Dunkin (D): no (Rauner’s Dem)
-Drury (D): no (Could Drury be in Rauner’s money bag?)
Voted Present:
-Cabello (R), Pritchard (R)
Brady(R) and Bulter(R) & the rest of Rauner’s Republicans voted “No”
We will remember on election day.

==Who replaced Poe?==
Jimenez.
- burbanite - Tuesday, Feb 16, 16 @ 4:36 pm:
Drury didn’t support the override either, remember Mama, he felt it was in the best interest of AFSCME members.
- AC - Tuesday, Feb 16, 16 @ 4:43 pm:
Poe’s replacement, Wojcicki-Jimenez also a No vote, no surprise.
- Oswego Willy - Tuesday, Feb 16, 16 @ 4:46 pm:
The mistake is…
There are NOT 71 Democratic votes.
There are about 6-8 GOP votes that have now decided to be Raunerites that Labor use to be able to count on. Labor knows the 6-8.
They KNOW them.
Will Labor take on those with a GOP Primary opponent and “vote accordingly”?
Stop with the Democrats, Dunkin is Labor’s opening salvo.
Will Labor go deep? Will Labor go after former GOP Members, thoughtful members, that turned on Labor?
“Vote accordingly” also means finding the Raunerite in the GOP tgat turned on Labor too.
Vote. Accordingly.
Vote.
