Regardless of party I think a breath of fresh air and new leadership is needed more often than every 20 years. He never was a “details” guy or hands on manager. Excellent at PR and not saying something stupid, however. I also haven’t heard about him being involved personally with any corruption at the SOS. That puts him ahead of most Illinois pols. If you constantly evict people on time then only the non elected bureaucrats have any power since they are the only ones skilled enough to run the place. We already have term limits. They are called elections. They are held every 2 or 4 years. If you can’t get someone you dislike from another district turfed out then move into that district and run yourself.
