See this is evidence of that pure hatred and anger that is going to erupt on Nov 15th when the ILRB rules on the AFSCME contract. That’s why the “Keep calm” memo went out.
Rauners only way out is to tell his owned ILRB to accept the ALJ recommendation.
Governor Rauner has accomplished very little in his first two years. His reluctance to govern and his zealous belief that his answers are the right answers have resulted in chaos. Compromise is the way out of this horrible mess.
Rauner’s Twitter feed has been full of snarky responses for quite a while. Some of the responses are even as good as this one. Seriously, it’s worth a read. Well, it’s worth a read after you’ve kept up with the @MisterJayEm Twitter feed.

This kind of nasty political stuff that deflects away from the pure happiness and civic unity brought about from the Cubs winning the championship ticks me off and I am not even a Cubs fan. Why can’t people be allowed to celebrate their victory and have nice things for even a day?
But I’d add that I’d be happy if the politicians would just stay away on days like this. Same the said things for the Bears, Bulls, Sox and Hawks celebrations.
Seriously, who wants Rauner and Emanuel in the parade and at the podium today? The fans? No way. They’re a wet blanket.

Strongest union in America.
South Side Jerry, during the lockout, said MLPA had to be busted or numerous franchises would fold. Neither happened.
Today, the players, owners and broadcasters all make big money, and the value of franchises are going through the roof.

Meh. Looks like a fair ? from here.

A Cub Championship reminds Bruce of 1908 and the Lochner-era Court routinely invalidating labor and market regulations.
Heart-warming stuff!

Break up that union so we can test Arrieta and find out what his cycle really was. (For educational purposes only, of course).
Go cubs.

I agree, but I’d make an exception for politicians who took celebrating sports victories as seriously as our neighbors to the north once did:

And it’s $600+ for a family of 4 to actually go to a ballgame. We win. Yay us.

If you’re spending $600 bucks to take yourself and 3 others to a baseball game, then you’re doing it wrong.
