* Former Gov. Pat Quinn talked with Sneed about his portrait that will eventually hang in the Hall of Governors…
“Let’s say it will be an extraordinary portrait.”
So how extraordinary?
“Well, I’ve commissioned artist Bill Chambers to do it. It will be different. It will be unveiled sometime next year. I’ve been posing on and off for the past two years.”
• Q: Will Quinn be wearing his lucky purple tie?
• A: “I think it would be safe to expect that,” he said.

Hopefully, “posing on and off” just means intermittently, and not state of wardrobe.
The “it will be different” line scares me.

The only truly ‘extraordinary’ aspect would be that is mouth is shut for a change.

“posing off an on” [as governor] –
Perhaps the same could be said of the current gov.

If it will be anything like his tenure, it will be over-budget, half-finished, and behind schedule.
Any word on the Blago portrait? If Quinn has one in the works, someone will have to step up and figure out what to do there. It would have to be someone with nothing to lose politically…maybe an outgoing Secretary of State who controls the complex?

@NIU Alum, if that’s your opinion of Quinnn’s time in office, I’d like to hear your Rauner summary…

Michelle, why does it have to be an either-or?
