Gov. Rauner's campaign is surveying his email list: "What issues are important to you?" I guess "passing a budget" falls under "other." pic.twitter.com/aOs4fRooxM
-term limits= i dont care.
-property tax freeze= i want them lowered.
-improving education=good enough as is. Trying to do too much.
-creating jobs=not the role of gov’t
-reforming pension=bankruptcyw/federal help
-others=bring oreo production back to U.S.
-ridding Illinois politics of corruption=wont be many left.
-protecting taxpayers=why start now.
Is this Allen D. the same as the former small village board member and Libertarian that Rauner elected to the House as a Republican? And, ummm, moot point, not mute point?? Unless you are snarkily noting the silence of some players in this budget disaster.
-term limits= This has no fiscal impact at all…zero. Zip. Nada.
property tax freeze= It would be unnecessary if the State would meet its obligation and fully fund schools…schools are by far the greatest part of our property taxes because they make up what the state is supposed to provide but does not
Which option do you prefer?
o Raise taxes significantly and continue government spending exactly as has been done?
o Keep taxes where they are and substantially reduce some of the services government provides? (If yes, please use the space below to fill in what you think should be reduced/cut)
o Lower taxes as well as significantly reduce government services offered? (If yes, please use the space below to fill in what you think should be reduced/cut)
o Just build robots to run and do everything, lay back on the beaches of Illinois, and enjoy life to the fullest?
My previous post didn’t show up here, so in short, the governor said he did not have an email because got more accomplished without it, according to a 2/25/2016 article in The Daily Herald by Mike Riopell. So how big can his email list be?

I vote for the Gov. to put on his big boy pants and quit calling everybody names and set down and build trust by negotiating a tough cuts and revenue budget with leaders. Leave the TA items for the 2018 election…30 - 60 matters.
- Norseman - Wednesday, Mar 8, 17 @ 2:29 pm:
The definition of skewed survey is …
Rauner is not the first, but the issue no budget for IL just sreams at you.
- Commonsense in Illinois - Wednesday, Mar 8, 17 @ 2:32 pm:
This obviously isn’t a poll by the Governor. There are far too many ‘g’s…

Push poll. Just put it in the trash.

I thought some of those issues are part and parcel of passing a budget compromise both sides can live with. doesn’t Mackey know that? where’s he been?
- Oswego Willy - Wednesday, Mar 8, 17 @ 2:39 pm:
The only way you keep it off is so no one will notice or talk about a budget.
Not an accident.
- wordslinger - Wednesday, Mar 8, 17 @ 2:40 pm:
Honoring contracts?
Reducing backlog of bills?
Protecting most vulnerable?
Maintaining and improving infrastructure?
Violent crime?
Public safety?
Public universities and community colleges?
Health care?
Opiod epidemic?
Geez,, talk about phonin’ it in, Frat Boys. Venture out of your Gold Coast bubble and get real.

Radio buttons? What’s with that?
You can only choose one issue?
What if there’s more than one issue?
Someone needs to re-read the SurveyGizmo instructions.

Is it not a Mute point now….

Funny thing is — and maybe this is unintentional which makes it pathetic — is that Rauner hasn’t done any of these yet.
What, this is like strategy planning for the next two years?
