Rauner’s wealth is a pittance compared to the $32 billion in annual revenue the state takes in. And like the Chicago River, Rauner’s wealth flows, in part, from Illinois taxpayers and pensioners. Just as politicians reversed the flow of the river, so too have politicians diverted wealth from Illinois to Rauner.
You’d think a guy that did as well as Rauner has done would be a better advocate his state. Wouldn’t you?

Please, let’s be fair to the vulture; it didn’t kill the raccoon. The same can’t be said of Rauner and what’s left of Illinois.
