To your post about the Pritzker ad. JB’s slogan at the end is “Fighting for what’s right, getting things done.” That’s eerily similar to Rod Blagojevich’s 2006 slogan, “Getting things done for people.”
HA! People are really shameless, and will grab onto whatever straws they can. BREAKING NEWS - “JB Pritzker uses the same English language as a corrupt politician! What other dark secrets is he trying to hide?!?”
This screams desperate. Which is not breaking news, but worthy of a reminder. @ilgop don’t you have anything better to do, like perhaps talking to your boss about passing a budget?
The silliness of the particular attack isn’t the point, the point is to say “Pritzker” and “Blagojevich” together as many times as possible. OH, CRAP, I’M PART OF THE MACHINE.
Eerily similar- Rod Blagojevich had unattainable demands from the General Assembly then held them hostage all summer. He blamed everyone else for his failure of being able to Govern. He was in constant campaign mode. He increased the debt of the State at historic and record levels.
Your sounds eerily similar to someone?
OTOH, this may be a slight indication that the wiretap story isn’t having the legs they wanted it to, so they’re trying to goose it a bit. And here I am, talking about it, doing Rauner’s work for him. Maybe I should write a budget, too, while I’m at it.
… and the Pritzker Crew and specifically the Pritzker Comm Crew has nothing to say to hits like Property Tax issues, Blago tapes that someone had to know were out there… then getting “framed” in a message, in a barely passable “attack” (was it really an ad going on the offensive?) ad that has so ma y points to make… even a whole minute wasn’t enough to bring clarity to it all, or blame Rauner directly for the laundry list…
This isn’t even a “hard hitting” political point… but it’s landing on Pritzker all the same.
Maybe the Rauner kiddie crew should shut off Scooby Doo when scribbling down lame press releases.

Well, this will play well to the tin foil hat wearing base. Of course ILGuppies, a true slogan Brucie Baby could use is, “getting nothing done except for myself” but many of us realize that for some truth is extremely frightening or frightenin’ as the case may be.
It’s a shame that these election campaigns keep getting longer and longer and longer in duration and so there is so much additional time to fill. Only the paid campaign staffs really benefit from and possibly enjoy this daily production of logorrhea.
Willy, I get why you’re frustrated at times at the Pritzker crew, but this is just so freakin’ lame. Next they’re going to accuse Pritzker of using nouns, verbs and adjectives, just like Rod.
Nobody uses words like “fighting” or “getting”. It’s like “hunting”-common folks like Bruce would use the phrase “Fightin’ for what’s right, gettin’ things done” or better yet, “Fightin’ for ya, giterdone!!!”
This is the problem with Republicans. They keep talking about the past i.e. Obama, Hillary, Bill Clinton, Blagojevich. Time to grow up. Blago was 8 years ago. Do they comb their hair the same way? You are in power now. Do your job. Get a budget.
===I get why you’re frustrated at times at the Pritzker crew, but this is just so freakin’ lame. Next they’re going to accuse Pritzker of using nouns, verbs and adjectives, just like Rod===
It’s not about the message, it IS about understanding that Rauner isn’t going to let up for a second, petty, small, large or important points to be made.
Rauner won by being on offense constantly, and swamping any/all attacks, big or small, all the way through to victory.
The reason this is going to be “another” point is because Raunerites will keep hammering and shaking to keep Kennedy, to keep Biss, to keep Pritzker… to keep them all on defense.
Breaking News! Governor Bruce Rauner’s “Turn Around Agenda” has a very similar name to failed “Illinois Turn Around Team”! Stealing from the failed team of Ron Gidwitz and Steve Rauschenberger to name a failed agenda, a new low! LOL
===Maybe the Rauner kiddie crew should shut off Scooby Doo when scribbling down lame press releases.==
Maybe.
And Maybe the Pritzker Crew should start using that thing you call “The Google” before settling on these themes. Hard to believe no one in that crew recognized the similarity without The Google. That’s the eerie part.

JB’s campaign is not very original so far. It tried to steal the GOP’s hashtag #FixIL. Good move there, I guess.
But borrowing from Blag? Not so good.
