Thursday, Sep 7, 2017 - Posted by Rich Miller * Now that petition filing season has begun, what are your thoughts on which Democratic gubernatorial candidates will not file signatures with the Board of Elections come deadline day?

- Almost the weekend - Thursday, Sep 7, 17 @ 2:21 pm:
Kennedy Kennedy Kennedy suh-wing batter!
- Mykonos - Thursday, Sep 7, 17 @ 2:22 pm:
Kennedy will not file.
Carlos Ramirez Rosa will file.
- Anonymous - Thursday, Sep 7, 17 @ 2:23 pm:
I have a sneaking suspicion that Carlos Ramirez-Rosa won’t. Call it a hunch. I just got to tell you I’m no longer feeling it…
- VanillaMan - Thursday, Sep 7, 17 @ 2:24 pm:
^^
- Michelle Flaherty - Thursday, Sep 7, 17 @ 2:25 pm:
Bill Daley
- Ron Burgundy - Thursday, Sep 7, 17 @ 2:26 pm:
Of the “major” candidates I’ll guess I’ll go Daiber and Drury, with increasing doubt about Kennedy.
- Anon0091 - Thursday, Sep 7, 17 @ 2:36 pm:
Biss/Blank
- Spliff - Thursday, Sep 7, 17 @ 2:41 pm:
Kennedy, Daiber, Drury wont file. Unless Biss finds someone great in the next few weeks he might have to push to get filed by the last day. another misstep and no he won’t file either.
- Oswego Willy - Thursday, Sep 7, 17 @ 2:42 pm:
A “Rauner-GOP” candidate for Secretary of State(?)
- Oswego Willy - Thursday, Sep 7, 17 @ 2:45 pm:
Sorry. Apologies.
To the Question…
Daiber and Pawar won’t file.
Drury will file, but will be challenged.
- Arsenal - Thursday, Sep 7, 17 @ 2:56 pm:
Pritzker, Kennedy, Biss, Pawar, and Hardiman will be on the ballot. Drury will file, but someone will successfully challenge him.
I have some doubts about Kennedy and Biss, but ultimately, if they have legitimate campaign staff, a 1-2 week delay shouldn’t be the difference.
- Blue dog dem - Thursday, Sep 7, 17 @ 3:07 pm:
Against my wishes. There will be no conservative blue dog dem file. Bummer.
- Flynn's mom - Thursday, Sep 7, 17 @ 3:12 pm:
Ken Dunkin
- Ghost - Thursday, Sep 7, 17 @ 3:14 pm:
Biss will file then withdraw his signatures after discovering that he failed to do basic vetting and they are all from the same person.
- JS Mill - Thursday, Sep 7, 17 @ 3:45 pm:
Biss
- Thomas Paine - Thursday, Sep 7, 17 @ 3:50 pm:
Biss should ask Kennedy to be his running mate, it would solve a bunch of problems.
- Sideline Watcher - Thursday, Sep 7, 17 @ 4:12 pm:
Or Kennedy should ask Biss. But yeah them teaming up would solve a bunch of stuff.
- Anonymous - Thursday, Sep 7, 17 @ 4:28 pm:
Biss.
- Anon0091 - Thursday, Sep 7, 17 @ 4:55 pm:
Kennedy/Biss. Biss/Kennedy. No way either takes second fiddle.
- Amalia - Thursday, Sep 7, 17 @ 5:10 pm:
uh, based on the Lt. Gov oops, Biss is not first position material.
- Cheryl44 - Thursday, Sep 7, 17 @ 7:32 pm:
Pawar. Which would make me happy since he’s my alderman. I prefer he be our next mayor.
- NorthsideNoMore - Thursday, Sep 7, 17 @ 10:05 pm:
25000 is a lot sigs for a guy with n ground game and since the county chairs are being locked down for JB. CK may have real trouble without paying for sigs which always gets you some really quality names? He may file but the challege may well will keep him off.
