Fall veto session dates announced
Friday, Sep 8, 2017 - Posted by Rich Miller * The House and Senate just posted the fall veto session calendar. The chambers will return to Springfield October 24-26 and then again November 7-9. Click here and here. By using a special session to pass education funding reform, the two chambers avoided activating the 15-day clocks on bills vetoed by the governor, which gave everybody a much-needed break from all the session days the past couple of years.

No one wants to comment on this post? This is just another Madigan/Cullerton ploy. Not working on Halloween? What do we pay them for?

Any controversial veto that could spark a primary for anyone? Any hot button issue that someone votes “wrong” on leaves more than enough time to file and get signatures.

Guessing an HB40 veto override will get some press attention, although certainly fail.
