WATCH: J.B. Pritzker AGAIN Dodges on Releasing His Tax Returns
208 days since Pritzker first pledged to make his tax returns public
“While his sister was just caught parking assets offshore, J.B. Pritzker continues to hide his tax returns from the public. We already know he schemed with crooked Democrat insiders to slash the property tax bill on his Chicago mansion by over $230,000. It’s time for him to come clean.” - Illinois Republican Party Spokesman Aaron DeGroot
After receiving the endorsement from yet another career politician who’s loyal to Madigan, J.B. Pritzker was again asked when he will be releasing his tax returns.
Watch Pritzker continue to dodge on releasing his tax returns HERE.
Pritzker’s response? “It’s somewhat complex… We’re working on it… We’ll get it done soon.”
That’s the same response Pritzker gave nearly a month ago around when tax returns were due to the federal government.
208 days have passed since J.B. Pritzker first pledged to release his taxes returns.
Other Democrats have already challenged Pritzker on his obfuscation, and Illinois voters are demanding to see what Pritzker is hiding.
We already know that Pritzker has gamed the system to receive a $230,000 tax break on his Chicago mansion thanks to the help of his fellow crooked Democrat insider Joe Berrios.
I love the hypocrisy of the IGOP/DeGroot calling out those crooked dems. Maybe the next time Aaron visit his home county he can stop by and visit George Ryan for a long, long history lesson.
JB - new tailor = good idea. I’m afraid you might trip over your cuffs. (Or is this his Carhart segment of candidacy?)

People have more problems with a man who hasn’t even made it through the primaries not releasing his tax returns, while 45 still hasn’t release his… GOP what u doin?
With previously denied Russian contacts from the Trump administration being disclosed weekly like a Matryoshka doll, methinks GOP is off base. Paradise Papers and all.
I’m sick of my fellow Dems for bringing up Trump every time JB’s tax returns come up. If we want to claim the mantle of transparency and fairness then lets be the ones to lead the way. Sorry to sound preachy but I hate listening to “but he did it first”
Give the guy a break, candidates for Gov are not required to release tax returns. As the party of individual freedom and less regulation the ILGOP should back off. Biss will push Pritzker on this issue no doubt, he has released his and he is sponsor of bill requiring Presidential candidates to release them, SB0982
===something the electorate no longer seems to care about===
President Trump said and did a lot of things that only he could get away with during last year’s campaign. Considering his current approval rating, even he’s no longer exempt.
JB will start to get a lot of heat from family members wanting him to drop out of the race due to tax issues. Public life is hard for people when they have complexity with tax returns. Trump like?
- Arthur Andersen - Wednesday, Nov 8, 17 @ 3:07 pm:
I believe the first famous Illinois family name to turn up in the Paradise Papers was Pritzker, not Rauner, albeit not JB.
I’m not sure Pritzker wants to be in the same boat as Trump on the tax return issues. Especially as the Russian investigation and money laundering convictions start adding up.
Oh Rocky, you wish. JB says he’s going to release so I’m sure he’s going to release. My guess is it will be pretty soon.
- Back to the Future - Wednesday, Nov 8, 17 @ 4:28 pm:
The point is that he said he would release them and he has not released them.
JBP brought up the issue. Now he has to live with it.
As time goes on this will become a bigger issue. I am not sure that many folks are paying attention to an election that will not happen for months.
Why not just release the tax returns and be done with this issue?
JB will wait as long as he can, looking for a favorable time to release as little information as possible. When someone in the Trump family gets indicted he will be sure to take advantage. Bill Clinton perfected the move.
The irony of JB promising to put in a progressive income tax is so typical of liberal elites. He’s a property tax cheat but thinks nothing of going after other people’s money. When you run on a platform of implementing a progressive income tax, you better be ready to release your own.
Funny. After kissin Rauners rump for the 3 years, the GOP in Illinois think what they want still matters.
- Cook County Commoner - Wednesday, Nov 8, 17 @ 7:10 pm:
He’d be goofy to release his tax return. He’d spend the rest of the campaign answering questions about schedules and line items prepared by his family accountants. And he’d lose any populist edge he may have. He’s a rich guy. He does some arguably bad stuff to stay rich. The little people don’t need to know about it.
- Anonymous - Wednesday, Nov 8, 17 @ 1:36 pm:
It is complicated when you decide to release all the schedules. Unlike someone we know who only releases the top sheets.
- Anon221 - Wednesday, Nov 8, 17 @ 1:38 pm:
Aaron… what, no outrage over Trump not releasing his??? Or Rauner’s lil bits ‘n pieces??? Let’s be fair and balanced now. /s

As previously discussed, the ILGOP really has no game here until the toilet clock is deployed. #We’reWaitingToo
- Just Me - Wednesday, Nov 8, 17 @ 1:41 pm:
I’m waiting for the ILGOP to demand Donald Trump’s tax returns, then I’ll take them seriously for wanting to see Pritzker’s.

Let’s hop in the way-back machine and dial the button all the way to 2014 when the press was reporting on Rauner’s Cayman Islands interests.
Some fella named Dave McKinney was writing that story. Wonder whatever happened to him?
And, are the ILGOP and DeGroot so sure their boss isn’t going to turn up in the Paradise Papers?

That’s a fair point. Hopefully you’re right and 2016’s lack of full transparency on the tax returns was a one-off.

the GOP is in the wrong primary, they should be clamoring for Ives taxes. She should demand Rauners full taxes come out, what is he hiding
