* I gotta agree with the Pop-Tarts folks here…
Yuck!
…Adding… Heh…
Pop-Tarts we still have a cold case on the disappearance of Pop-Tarts Crunch Cereal! We suspect a cereal killer.

A good representation of Illinois politics. Take something that isn’t too healthy to begin with, and make it nauseating

People who put mustard on pop-tarts are the same people who put catsup on hot dogs. Just wrong.
- Gruntled University Employee - Wednesday, Nov 29, 17 @ 7:29 am:
Mustard on left over cold fried fish, yes, on pop tarts, never.

“Some men just want to watch the world burn.”
Mustard on pop tarts is not a thing.
- PublicServant - Wednesday, Nov 29, 17 @ 7:53 am:
It’s gross, but the mustard probably is the most pristine ingredient on/in the poptart…just sayin.
- Anonymous - Wednesday, Nov 29, 17 @ 8:15 am:
Are we sure that’s mustard?

We lack the culinary sense of Iowans who prefer cheese on their Pop Tarts.

Now, if this was a predictor of the launch of a hot dog flavored Pop-Tart, I’d say rock on!

“Who does this?”
The answer is nobody. Nobody does this.

If this is the start of a Twitter beef between Kellogg’s and the ISP then I am all for it. This has a chance to be the most bizarre feud since Coolio vs. Weird Al.
- IllinoisBoi - Wednesday, Nov 29, 17 @ 9:31 am:
Pardon me, do you have any Grey Poupon?
- Anonymous - Wednesday, Nov 29, 17 @ 9:35 am:
Pop Tarts (or the toasted type pastry) was invented in Illinois. We cannot stand for this.
- VanillaMan - Wednesday, Nov 29, 17 @ 9:45 am:
There’s no bite out of it.
It’s a set up.

Pretty good follow-up from Dixon P.D. Thank God for our first responders.
- Northsider - Wednesday, Nov 29, 17 @ 9:49 am:
Also, no one I know, or have ever known, whether Illinoisans or not, does this.
- Retired Educator - Wednesday, Nov 29, 17 @ 9:50 am:
I know Pop Tarts. I have eaten Pop Tarts. That folks is no Pop Tart. If you have to put on mustard, I suggest a hot dog.

Gross Pop Tarts as bridge builder ! left/right/center ( I hate labels) seems we all can unit behind our disgust for mustard on Pop-Tarts

Anonymous @ 12:43: You might rethink that if you baste a baked salami with brown sugar and a brown mustard of your choice…
- Arthur Andersen - Wednesday, Nov 29, 17 @ 1:31 pm:
Like OW, AA is a long-time consumer of Pop-Tarts (flavor choice is crucial) and this is an abomination which should be illegal.
As an aside, good to see the ISP and Dixon PD have a lighter moment on the Twitters. For those so inclined, ISP District 10-Pesotum has a great and occasionally quite funny octal media platform.

No accounting for taste, and most of us have “weird” food concoctions. My sister puts mayonnaise on candied yams, and my mother and I like peanut butter on our hotdogs.
What weird food combination do you like?
- Amalia - Wednesday, Nov 29, 17 @ 1:40 pm:
is this for real? or a really great marketing ploy?
- MissingBentohs - Wednesday, Nov 29, 17 @ 1:45 pm:
Yellow mustard should go on nothing … not even a hot dog.
- JoanP - Wednesday, Nov 29, 17 @ 1:47 pm:
Frankly, I think both pop-tarts and yellow mustard are disgusting, singly or together.
- A guy - Wednesday, Nov 29, 17 @ 2:15 pm:
It’s about time someone stood up for Pop Tarts. They were revolutionary in how they changed life in the last century.
I still love them even after 2 toaster fires.
