Rosa is ruining the brand he hoped to ride to greater prominence.
Getting blown out by Chuy, on the heels of the the LG debacle and his childish, and politically ignorant, way of that separation, one could recover from “one” of these fiascos, but these “two”, back to back…
I’ve seen some surprise about these results on social media - anyone who expresses surprise at this shouldn’t be listened to about Chicago politics ever again. Chuy is going to win with over 60% of the vote - including beating every aldie in the race in their own ward by at least a 2-1 margin.
Will a contested election for an open seat drive the vote totals above 225,000? The 4th CD usually posts the lowest totals of any district in Illinois.

Rosa should be backing Garcia and setting up his future run … Rosa, you’re believing your own press with this ill-timed run

Chuy is the most likely to win this race, but he’s also the only one running (for that seat) that voted for the pop tax.
I’d like to see a poll after all the mailers, radio and possible tv ads have hit him. Just sayin.

THis is the best news Rahm has heard in months.

Chuy’s a decent guy and he’ll do a nice job. He’ll certainly be a huge upgrade and a truly better representation to this district.
That said, this result was ensured from the (late) start. He’ll win big. Easier to cope with because it’s Chuy.

This poll is based solely on name recognition. It’s going to be a long three months before election day and a lot can happen til then.

It takes money, we’ll see who is playing with what come mid-January.
- Ron - Tuesday, Dec 19, 17 @ 2:53 pm:
I don’t like Chuy at all, but he is so much better than Ramirez Rosa.
- Ron - Tuesday, Dec 19, 17 @ 2:59 pm:
Moreno is probably the best of the bunch.
- California Guy - Tuesday, Dec 19, 17 @ 3:43 pm:
Wait is 50% the poll number or the grade Chuy got in economics and math?
- Ron - Tuesday, Dec 19, 17 @ 3:54 pm:
California Guy
Yes! and Ramirez Rosa got a 7%.

And the Golden Horseshoe for funniest comment of the year goes toooooooooo…..RON.
Way to go buddy.

Chuy is in bed with CTU and other public employee unions, no thanks.
Ramirez Rosa is a left wing loon that even Dan Biss can’t stand.
Moreno by default.
