Memorial Day open thread
Monday, May 28, 2018 - Posted by Rich Miller * I doubt I’ll be posting much more until later in the afternoon, when the House and Senate convene. Using my ScribbleLive account, I’m estimating traffic at about a third of normal, so I’m doubting we’ll see many comments, either. So, the few of you who are here right now can talk amongst yourselves if you want. As always, keep it Illinois-centric and be nice to each other.

Today we honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice and remember them, as we owe them a debt we will never be able to repay. For all, including those from Illinois, we remember.

Please take time to reflect on all those brave men and women that have served and sacrificed to make this great country what it is. Remember their families they have sacrificed deeply as well. Freedom is not free we all need to remember. Thank You Veterans !

I wonder if this budget may in fact be the one that is much more difficult than the others. The money needed to pay back bills of corrections and possible state employees. I just see the state going deeper and deeper in debt, is there a solution>
