  1. - Duopoly - Friday, Sep 14, 18 @ 1:12 pm:

Maybe Lincoln Towing should of thought about that when they were committing repeat violations.
Lincoln Towing must have been long overdue for a license revocation for this ICC to do something. Rauner’s ICC has a record for extreme deference to its “regulated” entities.

  2. - @misterjayem - Friday, Sep 14, 18 @ 1:17 pm:

Lincoln Towing: Après nous, le déluge.

    – MrJM

  3. - Ron Burgundy - Friday, Sep 14, 18 @ 1:18 pm:

I don’t doubt that they will be allowed to operate while their lawsuit proceeds, but hyperbole much?

  4. - very old soil - Friday, Sep 14, 18 @ 1:19 pm:

That’s not chaos that is thousands celebrating.

  5. - RNUG - Friday, Sep 14, 18 @ 1:21 pm:

True Cubs fabs take the L and don’t nwirry about parking in Wrigleyville.

  6. - Albany Park Patriot - Friday, Sep 14, 18 @ 1:21 pm:

Whatever will we do without these angels?

  7. - 37B - Friday, Sep 14, 18 @ 1:28 pm:

“The streetlamps are on in Chicago tonight. . .”
    Somewhere Steve is smiling.

  8. - pawn - Friday, Sep 14, 18 @ 1:28 pm:

    lololololololololololol!

  9. - Freezeup - Friday, Sep 14, 18 @ 1:29 pm:

Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes… The dead rising from the grave! Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together… mass hysteria!

  10. - Juice - Friday, Sep 14, 18 @ 1:29 pm:

The Cubs played in DC yesterday. Never had a scheduled game at Wrigley on the 13th.

  11. - Louis G. Atsaves - Friday, Sep 14, 18 @ 1:30 pm:

I don’t get what all the consternation and celebration is about as it concerns the Lincoln Towing situation.

Lincoln Towing shuts down involuntarily, having their license pulled. Their ever so polite and kind tow truck drivers are suddenly unemployed. Lincoln Towing’s competition then hires them to pick up the slack in towing offending vehicles, holding them for ransom and having the public directly deal with the ever so kind and polite drivers who once worked for Lincoln./snark

    The circle remains unbroken.

You gotta love how things can work out sometimes.

  12. - Responsa - Friday, Sep 14, 18 @ 1:46 pm:

Lincoln Towing and Cubs game in the same sentence. made this old White Sox fan chuckle.

  13. - Anonimity - Friday, Sep 14, 18 @ 1:47 pm:

    Parked car = chaos

  14. - Northsider - Friday, Sep 14, 18 @ 1:49 pm:

    37B nailed it.

And one person’s “chaos” is, to another, the sound of a thousand smiling mandolins as the bum’s been towed out of town.

  15. - Responsa - Friday, Sep 14, 18 @ 1:53 pm:

Is there an online petition out there somewhere where frantic Chicagoans and suburbanites can demand the reinstatement of Lincoln Towing?

  16. - Dance Band on the Titanic - Friday, Sep 14, 18 @ 1:55 pm:

Guess they don’t make chaos like they used to.

  17. - Arthur Andersen - Friday, Sep 14, 18 @ 2:22 pm:

“Chaos” to these pirates means “Cash Haul Ain’t Ours-S—.”

  18. - 32nd Ward Roscoe Village - Friday, Sep 14, 18 @ 2:31 pm:

The cheering and celebrations on Twitter when this was announced reminded me of the drivers clapping and honking when Blago was impeached and the IDOT workers started covering his name up on the huge open road tolling signs. This story even made the Wall Street Journals A-Hed article yesterday or today.

  19. - titan - Friday, Sep 14, 18 @ 3:18 pm:

People would be better off if the area just went to the Rolling Stones’ Altamont Plan (have the Hell’s Angels provide the work, and pay them in beer) instead of Lincoln Park Towing

  20. - Robert the Bruce - Friday, Sep 14, 18 @ 3:31 pm:

==The Cubs played in DC yesterday. Never had a scheduled game at Wrigley on the 13th.==
Yes, but Lincoln Towing was going to consider this a home game for towing purposes.

  21. - 32nd Ward Roscoe Village - Friday, Sep 14, 18 @ 3:47 pm:

Lincoln Towing’s real estate in Andersonville is pretty valuable.
On Twitter, my spouse @skyfullofbacon put it this way:
    Lincoln Towing = Bandleader
Illinois Commerce Commission = Luca Brasi
We’ll soon know which developer just got Johnny Fontane
