When you don’t have a platform that helps regular Illinoisans, you resort to fear-mongering. It has worked well for republicans at the national level.
There is a certain national politician who loves the poorly-educated. He wasn’t talking about their lack of formal schooling; he was referencing their unwillingness and/or inability to think for themselves.
Democrats are starting to give the Republicans fits in the western suburbs and it shows in their fear mongering.

If JB wins, session is going to be hoot for Durkin and Brady, Rauner will be gone along with his money propping up the GOP members who are left. You know those members who have stood on the chamber floors railing against the Dems and Madigan. It going to be a long, long, really long session for the angry GOP gang who can’t shoot straight.
I know it may be inconceivable to some, but there will be day when Michael J. Madigan is no longer in the state house. What is the ILGOP going to run on then? What will be their purpose?
== Eola Road hasn’t been the same since they tore down the Rickety Bridge.==
Where was the rickety bridge… I remember it still being a grade crossing in Eola and being able to drive into Fermi, but I don’t remember the rickety bridge.
As goofy as this sign is . . . .it is impossible to overstate how effective these would be Downstate. Gold. The sight of a Dem candidate stumbling all over his/her answer to who will you vote for as Speaker is staggeringly consistent. . . . . . .landing somewhere between a nervous tick and a stutter . . . .
Dan Proft is attacking Rob Martwick for being pro-Madigan.
Honestly they would get more bang for their buck in that district by attacking him for endorsing Toni Preckwinkle for whom there is palpable disgust rather than Mike Madigan who doesn’t really move the needle.
I find it ironic that in the battle of signs the sign on Roskam that he received 32k from NRA does not go on to say …over 14 years.
Well at least one party tells All the truth.
If the party has communicated effectively then this is just trolling. But if the actual candidates are in real trouble this doesn’t change a vote. If this is the final means of communication while your down in the polls then your doing it wrong.
If it’s just to troll Democrats then well done.

Where on Eola? Somebody needs to go out with a marker and add the “ic” on Democrat.
No ideas from Republicans, but lots of insults.
- TaylorvilleTornado - Friday, Oct 26, 18 @ 10:23 am:
Surprised they didn’t throw a hammer and sickle on there.
- Oswego Willy - Friday, Oct 26, 18 @ 10:23 am:
Bailing on Bruce Rauner, just using Madigan?
That’s fun.
If it was me, i woulda used JB’s colors, but let’s make sure we get the signs out, not what could help make them better.

Don’t steal yard signs.

HELP STERIGENICS - VOTE REPUBLICAN

Most of the political advertising in America is based on fear so let’s please just accept this sign as falling in line with other political PR.
- Gooner - Friday, Oct 26, 18 @ 10:35 am:
Great to see Republic running an issues based campaign.
