=Apparently the farmers think Rauner is the only candidate who they can trust.=
You mean they guy who tried to cut funding for Ag Education among other Ag related cuts? That’s they guy they trust? Do they believe the story about his grandparents too?
In response the Pritzer campaign on-line team has paid for ads in front of every Green Acers video, every Orion Samuelson video on YouTube as well as ads on the Songs to Drive a John Deer to playlist on Spotify
I don’t know if this particular farmer has off-farm employment. However, I know many farmers in downstate Illinois whose spouse works at a public university, community college, or K-12 public school because that is where the good health care benefits and retirement benefits come from. And yet, these same farmers gleefully cheer as Rauner guts universities, K-12 Schools, and teacher unions. The inability of many “free-market” conservatives to see how they benefit from a well-funded system of schools and universities, including as the source of their health care benefits, is painful to contemplate.
I’ve driven across the state, and actually you don’t see a lot of Rauner signs. Very few. But how nice that people flying from NY to LA might see this one. Will really move the needle.
In a college election, when my opponent had 2 dorm floor windows saying vote on one floor and his name on the floor below, I got the students on the floor above those to put the word ‘don’t’ in their window. Maybe the farmer next door should try that. (I won that election)

Sure, this one farmer proves “the farmers” are monolithic and walk in lock-step.
Rauner has proven he can be trusted to shut “the farmers” out of an alleged trade mission to two of their biggest customers, China and Japan.
