Maybe I’ve missed the explanation for this somewhere, but IDPH reports 144 new deaths, for a total of 2,125. Yesterday IDPH reported a total of 1,983 deaths, for a difference of 142 deaths. Is there a reason for the daily total not matching the day to day change? Is IDPH going back and changing statistics as new data comes in?

MyTwoCents - The IDPH page also shows 142 deaths for the day. However, if you add the cases by county and age in the press release it comes to 144. I can’t tell which is correct.

==== for a difference of 142 deaths=====
I believe Dr. Ezike stated that the deaths won’t always match up because some of the people are non-residents of Illinois and they get counted elsewhere.
