* Earlier this month…
* Yesterday at the White House…
* Miller’s husband, Rep. Chris Miller (R-Oakland) was also in attendance. He’s in the second row on the far right (of course)…
* The three posed together as well…
I’m told when President Trump found out that Rep. Miller (no relation) is in the General Assembly, he talked to Miller for a bit about the governor and Chicago’s mayor.
* From a Miller spokesperson…
Chris and Mary Miller were at the White House for about two hours. President Trump talked to Chris personally for a few minutes about Illinois. The President noted to Chris that “Lori Lightfoot and JB Pritzker are failing the people of Illinois.”
They discussed how sad it is that Illinois has such an abundance of natural resources such as coal, oil and gas, water ways, agriculture products and other resources, and hard-working men and women that just want a chance to thrive. Because of years of mismanagement, the state is in shambles and losing population.
Trump noted that Illinois has a terrible business climate and despite the fact that the state has everything it needs to be successful – Illinois is failing because of the poor leadership of Lightfoot and Pritzker and the Democrats in the Legislature who are pushing businesses away with their anti-business policies.

200,000 people dead and no real plan to help but Trump has 2 hours of Miller Time. “years of mismanagement,” yep, White House.

Miller declined to remind Trump that he built a tower in Chicago.

Illinois would be a failure of a state if it completely depended on coal, oil, gas, and agriculture as its primary domestic product.

Trump should sell Trump Tower, “Chicago”.
That’ll show ‘em

Narrator: The Trump Organization invested nearly at least $900 million to construct a 98-story building and relied on the longest serving alderman in the City’s history to represent them.
Sorry, did I speak up before someone had a chance to say, “But…?”
- Grandson of Man - Thursday, Sep 24, 20 @ 1:06 pm:
Has anybody looked at America’s business climate under Trump and his party? Horrific mismanagement of the pandemic, economic collapse, exploding national deficits and debt, stripping environmental protections while our west coast burns and hurricanes devastate the Gulf and the rest.

Also “Trump”… and Chicago
“EXPLORE CHICAGO

… and this…
===The fourth tallest building in the United States, Trump International Hotel & Tower® Chicago served as the inspiration for Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, and has quickly become one of the best luxury hotels in Chicago and downtown’s most enviable address.===
That’s from the Trump marketing of his Chicago property.
Makes you wonder which Trump is truthful, the one pandering to Mary Miller or the one pandering to Chicago visitors.

And some people wonder how the world and the US is having so many climate change issues. It because of people like this that see resources and nature as something to be extracted, used up, manipulated, and profited from.
To borrow the quote from the movie Independence Day:
“they are like locusts. they consume every natural resource and then move on”

No mention of the COVID crisis in her issues, but there is this
Socialism
There is a disturbing trend among America’s youth as they are drawn to socialism as a form of government.
Venezuela stands as an example of what socialism does to a country. The unemployment rate in Venezuela is expected to reach 47 percent in the next year and 90 percent of the country lives in poverty.
Socialism may be the latest trend, but socialism destroys lives. Mary Miller will fight against efforts to make America a socialist nation.
Jeez, this is really hard to say, but Kent Gray would have been an improvement

I find it sad, for me personally at least, that until Rauner I never paid attention to what party someone was in or who they endorsed. I always went by who I thought had the best ideals or, barring that, who scared me the least. I am now at the point where some politicians scare me so much that anyone they endorse I will never consider voting for. I know it’s wrong, and some of these people may be great people, but I can’t get over who wants them voted in anymore. I miss the days when I first reached the age to vote.

Can anyone show the impacts on the the economy in Illinois. Last I remember ag was pretty big. I will take some time to research. For some reason I see a comment earlier to be disingenuous. Especially when you you look at the exports- and the ones we have yet to utilize.

I have a news flash for comrade candidate Miller (no relation of course, we are a socialist nation, we have been for a long time, and the current president signed off on the biggest socialist spending spree in history.
I wonder what Jeanie Ives thinks of miller’s shoes?
- dbk - Thursday, Sep 24, 20 @ 4:29 pm:
If you think, seriously, about this encounter and the statement released, the level of ignorance (of Illinois’ great strengths and economic diversity), bias (against a Dem Mayor and Governor), and ill-will (on the part of the Pres, the candidate, and her spouse) is, frankly, astounding.
As in today’s earlier post re: Darin LaHood’s bill (is he auditioning for a low-level post in an imagined future Administration, perhaps?), I am invoking the deities of anger management to assist the coping process.

—-abundant coal, oil and gas—
Oil production peaked in the 1940’s, Illinois had never been a big natural gas producer, and coal production is dropping because of lack of market demand.

Depending on how the remap goes, Kent Gray may still get the opportunity to run for that district, without having to leave the Springfield area.

You only need to live in the state. You don’t need to live in the district. It helps…
