“PC Load Letter - what the heck does that mean?” That means you take the legal paper out of tray 2 and set it on the table next to the card stock and put plain white paper in, (even though tray 1 is already full of plain white) so that next time someone needs to print on legal sized paper, they walk over to the printer only to find the wrong sized paper in tray 2, say a few swear words, put the legal paper back in tray 2, walk back to their office and print it again. And in the mean time hope no one has taken the legal paper back out of tray 2. That’s what “PC Load Letter” means.
I had to explain what a fax machine is to a 20-something lately. And let him use the copier/fax machine in the office, since he had no idea where to find one.
Next thing you know, they’re going to go after pagers, a Blackberry will be poisonous when carrying it, your brick phone you need to plug into your car’s cigarette lighter will radiate sumptin-sumptin… don’t get me started on what Y2K is going to do to us all…
The fall colors in southern IL are finally starting get going. Very beautiful drive this am on my way to sample deer for CWD. On that note - this morning’s deer were the first of the season for the bucks to start showing the physiological signs of rut. Looks like it’s about time for things to get busy in regards to hunters descending on the neighborhood.
Sunday’s “Today Show” showed a video about the Rivian plant in Normal. It was lauding how the plant has revived the economy of the town. No mention of our big sister Bloomington who is also doing well due to Rivian in that many of the employees are finding housing there as well as Normal.
I would love to put Bruce Rauner in a room and force him to watch this and other videos on the success of the Rivian plant. He badmouthed Illino9s as a state where this could not happen after Mitsubishi pulled out.
Dick Durbin is (now) sorry for The War on Drugs he and Jeff Sessions helped create…along with President Biden.
None of them are as sorry as those who have lived wasted lives behind bars from years to decades…as a direct result of their racist laws…sorry indeed.

I still stand by my prediction that the Bears will lose all remaining games the rest of this season. Maybe at the Lions on Thanksgiving their only remaining hope for a victory.
I still have landline phone service, and 2 multifunction printers with faxing. As late as 2021 I had to fax something to a hospital because they’re so locked down in the Med Records dept that they claim they don’t have email. Done in two minutes; no driving to the local library or currency exchange to fax and pay fees.

Expect legislative action. There are state agencies that still rely on fax machines to do business.
What should we name that Act?

I work in a public library and we often get people asking us if we fax or where they can find a fax machine.

Illinois HS playoffs started last weekend. Springfield HS beat Rock Island 94-72. Yes, that’s a football score, not a basketball score.

That’s crazy. If Springfield played Rock Island in basketball and that were the line, I’d take the under
