Not much coverage of it but the Cook County Assessor is months behind schedule. The Assessor has not certified one city township. This is going to push back the tax bills and payments and will force townships (especially those in the South Suburbs) to borrow millions of dollars to pay their bills.

Mason bon I can relate. Spent 3 yrs in Panama, saw cold once when someone thought a Jungle unit needed Winter warfare training in Alaska. 100 degrees to about -20 in less than 18 hours was a wake up.

SOS facilities and offices will reopen Jan. 24 after the three-week shutdown. Although many people who work in the Capitol Complex buildings still reported to work as usual the last few weeks.

I used to feel like that, then I was assigned to Hawaii for 3 yrs. I’d come home on leave thinking 50 was freezing. Now I get it.
