Does it ever feel like you’re channeling the inner most thoughts of an Illinois GOP legislator or candidate as they’re being asked a question by a reporter?

With the appeal result expected by Thursday, I feel bad for my local school board having a meeting Thursday night.
DJ yesterday on weather forecast, “Wednesday will see three seasons… by the time we’re done with Thursday it could up to 10″ of snow.”
It’s a jazz station. Their improve gets a bit exaggerated at times.
Currently 42 and windy.

Just saw a Crain’s story regarding the email dump that Alexi requested from Anna Valencia. Yeesh. she’s got some problems with referrals and her husband’s lobbying. I’m thinking that’s gonna need more than just a campaign blast calling Giannoulias Trumpian.
I trust the spring appearance of the first red-winged blackbirds more than Mr. Phil, but this year they may be in collusion. Comparing sightings from Jan/Feb 2021 to this year, they seem to be waiting it out for a while to get to Illinois. Stocking up on everything again this week in case it takes another week to fully dig out. https://maps.journeynorth.org/map/?year=2021&map=red-winged-blackbird-first
Did the grocery/library run yesterday. I’ll take the trash/recycling out later so it’s not piling up indoors. Checked the flashlight batteries just in case. So I’m basically ready for it.

==I’m thinking that’s gonna need more than just a campaign blast calling Giannoulias Trumpian.==
Maybe she thinks that Alexi is wealthier than Trump? And that all Alexi did while Trump was president was get even richer?
In the meantime, the Honorable Mr. DeVore has been working hard of Facebook to get more naive people to give him free money, by suggesting they too can be a party to the TRO (assuming of course that the Appellate Court decides in his favor). I am not sure what would truly constitute grifting, but asking people to give you money when there is not just or rational reason to participate in the lawsuit has already been filed and heard, and will shortly be decided, must surely come close to that definition.
Enjoy today’s nice weather while it lasts, central Illinois residents. Back to ice and snow tomorrow.

But that probably pales in comparison to Bright Start, Broadway Bank, etc. Just sayin’

I remember when Winter in central Illinois started around Thanksgiving and ended around Mid-March. Now it seems we don’t start winter until mid-January and February throws a fit and Spring doesn’t arrive until the end April.

Re: yesterday’s It’s Just a Bill thread regarding storm shelters for warehouses. This may be a dumb question, but is it possible to put Basements and Storm Cellars in warehouses? Those would be safer than reinforced ground-level reinforced storm shelters and “safe rooms.”
- Grandson of Man - Wednesday, Feb 16, 22 @ 9:37 am:
The trend this winter seems to be more snow for areas south of Chicago metro, with northern collars hit the least. That is expected with this next system as well. There’s the rain and flooding possibility as well for certain areas, according to a forecast yesterday. Would rather have more snow than a flood, that’s for sure.
==is it possible to put Basements and Storm Cellars in warehouses?==
Anything is possible with enough $$. It was possible to create a reinforced room in the this warehouse. But in the calculus of human safety and dollars, dollars won.
- West Side the Best Side - Wednesday, Feb 16, 22 @ 11:00 am:
There was an article in Business Insider about a food delivery start up moving to Chicago. How can that be? Doesn’t fit in with any GOP version of things.
Why isnt Pritzker threatening schools for violating mask rules he claims are still in effect in the same manner he did when a handful of private schools last fall said they planned to ignore the mandate? He was threatening all sorts of consequences for those schools and now, nothing?
- Huh? - Wednesday, Feb 16, 22 @ 8:34 am:
Winter storm watch forecast is rain, sleet, freezing rain, and snow.
It’s weather, I’ll get over it. Snowblower is gassed up and ready.
- Bruce( no not him) - Wednesday, Feb 16, 22 @ 8:36 am:
Storm coming, my tractor has blown hydraulic hose. No way to get it fixed before snow starts. Really hoping it doesn’t snow.
- Flyin' Elvis'-Utah Chapter - Wednesday, Feb 16, 22 @ 8:39 am:
62 and cloudy down here. Rain and thunderstorms tonight and tomorrow.
- JS Mill - Wednesday, Feb 16, 22 @ 8:42 am:

How dare you.
34 and windy.

Dies anyone else remember the black athlete that tested positive but was allowed to compete?
And for those of you that think this is not Illinois-centric, you are wrong. Springfield/Illinois racial bias is even less funny.
