In the 75th district State Rep
Welter in under intense heat as conservatives are pulling out the early vote for his opponent Jed Davis. Welter who once was considered a rising star in the GOP appears to be fading fast.
Got a call this morning from TRowePrice saying the State of Illinois is moving its deferred comp program from there to someplace called Empower. Apparently, this is true, but I had received no communication from the state about this and so was pretty taken aback by the caller seeking personal financial information.

“A pothole will cost the city of Chicago $600,000, after a man badly hurt in a fall while riding a scooter agreed to settle his lawsuit against the city.” On my block alone, I can get rick quick. I don’t assume the potholes will be filled any time soon.
I had been out canvassing this weekend as the primary is less than a month to go, Although crime is the number one issue, gun control, or lack of, is on everyone’s mind. Male or female in every racial category. It is now or never.
Up2now - I got an email about this move on 5/23 that went to all employees @illinois.gov from State of Illinois communications. Have not been contacted by T Rowe Price, and I doubt they would call. Sounds like a scammer.
== It doesn’t get any more Illinois-centric than Chester, Illinois, which is the geographic center of Illinois.==
Um, did Wimpy trade you the map you’re looking at in exchange for a burger? You might want to check it again, and ask Popeye for some assistance talking to Wimpy.
Spouse and I went to the War Museum in Pontiac yesterday. It’s a great place. I highly recommend it. While in Pontiac, we stopped at Wally’s and saw Darren Bailey. Like us, he was simply paying for his purchases and left.
Hope your Monday on a Tuesday is good.

Saw a lot of You Tube ads for Rodney Davis over the weekend. Seems Rodney loves him some automatic weapons and likes to have videos of him shooting automatic weapons posted on line. That and he says he will stop illegals from voting in our elections. Not sure what planet Rodney is on these days.

That’s the first I have heard about this either, and nothing on CMS deferred comp page about this change. But your call sounds like a scam if the caller wants personal info. I probably would have heard something already if the move from T Rowe Price to Empower was indeed happening, but I have not.
Speaking of retirement, SERS website has a banner headline saying that some of their members have gotten scam calls offering retirement counseling, which the agency says are not true and the callers are not affiliated with SERS.

Out for a walk Monday here in beautiful DuPage County, I saw my first Bailey yard sign. That plus the one Rabine sign makes a total of two signs for the upcoming primary.

Flipping through the SIU Alum magazine this week and was reminded that Bob Odenkirk is class of ‘84.
Saul Goodman went to SIU.
I love that.

Odenkirk gave a remote SIU graduation speech a couple years ago. “I’m a Saluki, you fool. I’m a Saluki, and I will destroy you.”
You can find it here:

His speech is 5 min.

Looks like only the Governor’s code agency employees got this scam email. I did not receive this on my work email (I work for another constitutional).

I had a little cabin on the creek there…long ago…Smallmouth bass galore.
