I’d like to see Pritzker pardon the Joliet Township official that Jim Glasgow is going after and trying to remove from office, for a drug crime he committed years ago long before he was ever elected to office.
As I understand it today, he has made the request and is waiting to hear back from Pritzkers office.
Glasgow needs a gentle reminder of who he is working for, and that his office is subordinate to the governor and legislature.
My Huskies kept it close with the #8 in the country so there is that…
The ‘be frightened suburban dude’ PAC, I mean the play by the rules folks were nice enough to send me a little book about how Pritzker is something or other (didn’t bother reading it).
Disappointed is not a strong enough word re: the White Sox. After two playoff appearances in a row I was thinking (hoping) that this would be their year.
And it’s not just having Sleepy LaRussa at the helm. The players showed minimal effort all season, combined with horrible defense (leading the league in errors), inept base running and lack of hitting power (they are leading the league in singles, though).
Bailey made a FB video stating his support for Israel this weekend. Someone needs to remind him that he spoke in front of a map that conveniently erased Israel within the last couple of weeks.

So the money has dried up for the House Republicans so I assume the same for the Senate. Well Rich it didn’t dry up for everyone because last week one of Griffins packs gave $200,000 for Sean Morrison’s Cook County Commissioners race. Wonder how Durkin and McConchie feel about that?
Played with cars. Attended the RT-66 Mother Road Festival. Friday was the parade in the rain, which wasn’t much fun, especially for a friend that I loaned a car so they could be in the parade also for their first time. But Saturday was beautiful weather; lots of people out and about. Myself, Mrs, and oldest grandson had a great time looking at cars, listening to music, talking to people, etc.
The show is back to it’s Cruise for Charity roots, locally organized, and a great fundraiser for first responders, etc. It was only Coop’s 2nd year doing it, and was one of the best ever. I couldn’t get around to see all the 1,000 plus cars, so I don’t know if Rich made it or not.
“The most rushing yardage since 1984 and the Bears win still feels like a loss.” That’s probably because it was. It’s just the Bears lost by fewer points than the Texans.

Check again. The courts have stayed the decision pending appeal.

My weekend is retroactively delightful, now that I know about the newly-dedicated McGuire Room at the Joliet Library. What a fitting honor.
