*** UPDATED x1 *** Saying the quiet part out loud in Lisle
Tuesday, Oct 11, 2022 - Posted by Rich Miller * Photo taken today by a Democratic state legislator in Lisle, across the street from a high school. “Paid for” just says “Sponsored Backspace,” and, no, I don’t know what that means… ![]() *** UPDATE *** More signs…

Couple of glaring typos, as the sign is clearly supposed to say “Do not let blacks caucus; white our laws.” That’s just poor production.
- NotRich - Tuesday, Oct 11, 22 @ 11:35 am:
Trumpism has moved from downstate to the western burbs.
- Politix - Tuesday, Oct 11, 22 @ 11:37 am:
Nice. Ranks right up there with the F… Biden flag my neighbor flies from a flagpole in his front yard.
- Buford - Tuesday, Oct 11, 22 @ 11:41 am:
Yikes

It was always there. Why do you think suburbs exist? Lisle and DuPage County aren’t two-thirds White by accident.
- Oswego Willy - Tuesday, Oct 11, 22 @ 11:56 am:
Here’s the sitch;
Read it. K? Ok, read it with these pauses…
Do Not Let…(pause) … Black Caucus…(pause)… Write Our… (pause) …
… it doesn’t matter what comes after “our”, frankly.
Black Caucus… Our…
The most important word for the racist?
Ah, no… not “Our”… ah, not “Black” either. Neither of those words is important to the racist.
It’s “Caucus”
Huh? What?
Without “Caucus”, it’s 100% racist and there’s no justification for such a sign.
With “Caucus” it’s 98.9% racist, and the 1.1% is the play off not only ignorance but the blissful hope ignorance is embraced by those unable to see… they have racist thought too.
It’s vile. It’s sickening. It was enabled and emboldened by Trump, this new GOP, and the phony evangelicals who couldn’t find scripture with both hands.

===It was always there===
It’s the saying the quiet part out loud… as the post clearly understands what is the context.
Like “How can you say something is the quiet part and say no one recognizes it existed before?”
Words matter.

Maybe left over from the big neo nazi concert in Lisle over the weekend with Nick Fuentes, assorted J6′ers and the Proud Boys? https://twitter.com/antifamillchi/status/1579857106689486849?s=46&t=6qvciIRoIQ-wTyIUMGpMJw
- From Springfield - Tuesday, Oct 11, 22 @ 12:01 pm:
I hate Illinois Nazis and yes, they do exist all over the state and not just south of I-80.
- Norseman - Tuesday, Oct 11, 22 @ 12:02 pm:
Dog whistles have become so passe in today’s MAGA world. Use a bullhorn. Better yet, massive rallies with loud sound systems. The best, have propaganda cable outlets broadcast your racist messages 24 hours a day.
- Big Dipper - Tuesday, Oct 11, 22 @ 12:12 pm:
This is also why the right attacks Lightfoot, Preckwinkle, and Foxx so hard. They don’t like when Black people have power, especially Black women.
- ArchPundit - Tuesday, Oct 11, 22 @ 12:13 pm:
Looks like there was an event in Lisle this weekend:

Trussel attended for the Bailey campaign.

Somebody is feeling ouchy that it isn’t 1930 anymore.
- Respectfully correcting - Tuesday, Oct 11, 22 @ 12:33 pm:
“Somebody is feeling ouchy that it isn’t 1930 anymore.”
1930? Hell, 1960s racism was televised! That’s what made Tommy Tuberville’s speech the other day so striking: it was perhaps the most outwardly racist comment made knowingly by a sitting member of Congress in front of cameras in my lifetime.
I texted a friend: “So this is what politicians were publicly saying in the 1960s?”
- Andrea Durbin - Tuesday, Oct 11, 22 @ 12:33 pm:
This is absolutely shameful.
- Frumpy White Guy - Tuesday, Oct 11, 22 @ 12:46 pm:
I get deleted a lot but this is why I am so dogmatic about expressing the need to battle racism in every arena.
- Dysfunction Junction - Tuesday, Oct 11, 22 @ 12:54 pm:
=Somebody is feeling ouchy that it isn’t 1930 anymore.=
To be fair, those 1930s signs had more impact in the original German.

I saw these on my way to work today. There are actually 3, the one in the photo and another one that said “Public safety is threatened”. I didn’t have time to read the third one. This is across from a park district building that held early voting for the primary. Disgusting.
- James the Intolerant - Tuesday, Oct 11, 22 @ 1:18 pm:
In my wonderful neighborhood we have the whole range of “Lets go Brandon”, F _ _ K Biden (in red white and blue no less) and black US flags which mean no quarter given. Sheesh.
- Karen - Tuesday, Oct 11, 22 @ 1:31 pm:
This is a yard sign is emblamatic of the panic and desparation amongst Trumpsters in DuPage County. It’s also the reason why a Democrat represents Lisle today, why Greg Hart is perceived as a RINO and why Deb Conroy will win as DuPage County Board President on November 8th.
- Bolingbrook party of 7 - Tuesday, Oct 11, 22 @ 1:37 pm:
Whoever mailed the maga letter to the Wheaton County Board made these signs, undoubtedly.

===pulling pranks===
“Sure, Jan”
The ILGOP embraces racist thinkers, ask Chairman Tracy.
Please don’t make me pull that Tracy quote again. There was the quiet part out loud there too.
