does ozinga think that recruiting a guy to run, them bailing on him after giving him only 1K is enough to get that persons support to replace Durkin? sounds crazy to me. ozinga looks like an amateur. we need Durkin.

Here in beautiful DuPage County we will be continuing the longstanding tradition of having rain right at trick-or-treating time…. seemed to happen every year when my kids were small.
None in costume, but this weekend saw only the first two political visits to my front door this election season. One was someone who may have earned my vote for county board. The other was a Bailey supporter who said he believed Joe Biden won the election but that something funny was going on in my own county because the voting machines had been down for two weeks but people kept voting.
It’s probably the best of bad options. If the guy doesn’t look like he’s gonna win, you may have to eventually cut bait. Even an Ozinga doesn’t have unlimited money in the era of Pritzker and U-Line.
Durkin is already losing Batinick, Bourne, Brady, Demmerā¦
Frankly, if the seat total for the GOP stays stagnant, why would Durkin want to *be* leader, given who may be replacing at least those four, and/or how many seats are kept.
Truth?
Right now, Uihlein and Proft are ārunning Bartertownā, muscle and ābrainsā well outside Durkin, far more well funded shadow caucusā¦ that likely wonāt end. āMaster-Blasterā runs the caucusā¦ so, what will next Wednesday bring?
IF you had November 1st as the date for a certain Chicago station to flip to X-Mas music, you’re a winner. There are parlays for first time they play “Have A Holly, Jolly X-Mas”.
I made a little trip down to Southwestern Illinois last week then over into the Show Me State to Tower Rock. Just in time too. The river was coming up fast and I had to wade through knee-deep water, but I made it out to the rock.
Everyone I encountered there was friendly and I didn’t see any “Let’s Go” shirts or bumper stickers or such political hatred. I was pleasantly surprised to see people brought together simply to enjoy an infrequent natural phenomenon without regard to political affiliation.
I was also somewhat surprised by the number of JB, Markel, and other Democratic candidate signs in yards and along roadways on the Illinois side of my journey. Granted, there were probably more Bailey and Bost signs, but the numbers were a lot more even for an area of the state that I thought would be a MAGA stronghold.

It’s a play for the Snyder fan boys. If he can get them doing GOTV for him, they’ll knock out hundreds of turfs on Election Day.

Oooooooozing with class.
(Sarcasm meter just broke.)
I saw the photos and thought “That’s nice.”
Others saw it as an opportunity to name call and be hateful.
