After last week’s “Winter Preview” looks like this week in more “normal” Thanksgiving Week weather pattern here in the Land of Lincoln. Most welcome for those traveling.

it seemed like the falcons were able to add a player or two no defense in the second half of yesterdays game. our run game stalled, fields got sacked repeatedly, and no receivers were open. how was that even possible? what adjustments could the falcons have made at half to turn that game around so completely?

They keep saying that Justin Fields is getting better, but the Bears keep losing. They may be rebuilding, but it would be fun to win a game every once in a while.
Even though the Illini basketball team lost yesterday, I think they’re going to be really to fun to watch this season. They’re only going to get better the more they play together.
Deep in their own territory the Bears called two calls consecutive designed runs for Fields, the second of which came after he injured his shoulder. Terrible play calling. That was a perfect situation to get him passing experience in a two minute situation and instead they put him in unnecessary danger.

Can’t even get a full 2-week break from election day. And yet the jockeying for the local elections next spring starts. Filing for next spring’s elections begins in Springfield this morning, Mayor Langfelder among those as he seeks a third term:
Would it be too much for the Chicago Board of Elections to post candidate filings on the Internet? The State Board of Elections and the Cook County Clerk manage to post candidate filings in real time. If the Chicago Board has posted any candidate filings, the link is not prominently displayed on their web site.

Bears: How many bad or missed calls can the refs make against the Bears in one game? This might have set the record. I mean, the Sky Judges in NY are asleep as well. What the…??? Kudos to Fields for hanging tough until the end, but the officiating is off the boards bad this year.
Politics: Great; 2 years of Chicago mayoral ads.
Congratulations to Vernon Hills’ native (and son of former Bear Phillip) DaVaris Daniels on the Grey Cup victory with the Toronto Argonauts last night.

Any insight on whether the revised venue statute will pass, allowing Plaintiff’s attorneys to file lawsuits in any venue in the State?
